Typhoon No. 10 is expected to approach Japan's southern regions around August 26th. Those in the Kansai area should stay alert, as the storm may bring severe rain, strong winds, and hazardous outdoor conditions. It's crucial to stay indoors, avoid non-essential travel, and prepare for possible disruptions. Venturing outside during such weather is dangerous due to flying debris, potential floods, and high winds, which can cause accidents. Stay updated on weather warnings and take necessary precautions to stay safe.

🚉 New JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Art at Osaka Station! 🎨

Famous manga artist Araki Hirohiko, creator of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, has unveiled his first public art piece at Inogate Osaka, the new building at Osaka Station. The artwork, called 'THE FOUNTAIN BOY', is part of JR West's WARP (WEST ART PROJECT), which aims to bring more art to everyday spaces in Osaka.

Araki's piece is a nod to the historic "Fountain Boy" statue that stood at the station for over 103 years, reimagined in a JoJo-style with vivid colors and dynamic visuals. It features Stands from the JoJo series, ranked by strength, with Jodio Joestar’s ‘November Rain’ at the top.

This art installation blends tradition with modernity and is set to be a new cultural attraction in Osaka. Check it out at the new Inogate Osaka building from July 31st, 2024!

🌄 Hiking Mount Fuji: An Unforgettable Adventure 🗻

Dreaming of summiting Japan’s highest peak? Here's your quick guide to hiking Mount Fuji!

The best time to hike is from early July to early September, when the trails are clear of snow and facilities are open. There are four main trails to choose from:

The Yoshida Trail is the most popular and well-serviced.
The Subashiri Trail is less crowded and merges with the Yoshida Trail.
The Gotemba Trail is the longest and most challenging.
The Fujinomiya Trail is the shortest but steepest.
Preparation is key for a successful climb. Dress in layers, pack a waterproof jacket and sturdy boots, and bring a headlamp, gloves, hat, sunscreen, and trekking poles. Don’t forget to carry enough water, snacks, and high-energy food.

The hiking experience itself is unique. Many start climbing in the evening to catch the sunrise (Goraiko) from the summit. The trails are marked by stations that offer rest stops and mountain huts. Be aware of altitude sickness; ascend slowly and stay hydrated.

Mount Fuji is not only a natural wonder but also a sacred site in Shinto and Buddhist traditions. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013.

Ready to conquer Mount Fuji? This journey is challenging, but the breathtaking views and sense of achievement make it all worth it!
