Ataraxie - New Album "Le Déclin" out via Ardua Music & Weird Truth Productions in October 2024!

Extreme doom/death veterans ATARAXIE proudly announce their new and fifth overall full-length album entitled "Le Déclin", set for release on October 25th 2024 via Spanish force Ardua Music & the Japanese cult label Weird Truth Productions on CD, double LP, tape and digitally.

Born in the fall of 2000 in Rouen (France), ATARAXIE take their main inspiration from the early 90s doom/death metal scene and slowest 80s/90s death metal bands. Thus, their genre mainly includes old school death metal parts and classic doom metal ones slowed down in the most extreme way but also various influences from the bleakest metal genres. Their music plays a lot with contrasts in general: ultra slow crushing parts alternate with furious blast beats, mournful parts with more epic ones, and vocals also varies from really deep grunts to tormented screams.

Topped by a triple (!) guitar attack, ATARAXIE is a must for fans of diSEMBOWELMENT, Evoken, early My Dying Bride, Morgion, Cathedral, Esoteric, Asunder, Mournful Congregation, Spectral Voice or Incantation.

Lyrically, "Le Déclin" pushes the themes that were already present on its predecessor "Résignés" with a focus on subjects like manipulation and obfuscation of the Masses, the cult of selfishness, dehumanization towards a parasiting virtual life, global warming insolubility, and reflects the unique musical style of ATARAXIE.

US cult doom/death who had released only 2 EPs back in 90's. After a long hiatus, they came back with new EP in 2018 and finally here's their long-awaited 1st full length album! Combination of heavy doom/death riffs and ambience using clean guitar, which is the inheritance from doom/death legend diSEMBOWELMENT. They also have subtle early 90's Peaceville 3 atmosphere with male/female chant and majestic guitar synth sounds. Both influences are well-balanced and they created their own style with hypnotic grooves. Anyway, masterpiece of doom/death!

[ Molested (Nor) - Stormvold - CD ]
Norwegian death metal band who had been active in 90's. This is reissue of their last EP originally released in 1997, including 2 demos a bonus. You can find some black metal influences from the songs from EP but it's still dark and intense death metal! the songs from 2 demos are pure fu***ng death metal in the vein of Incantation,Immolation and so on.

Mid-tempo based crawling drumming combined with minimal dark melodies with subtle melodies. Mixture of male growls and eerie female clean vocal.

At the end of 2023 we subscribed to Tunecore, and slowly but surely we are putting all our releases available on the maximum of digital streaming / audio market platforms.

The core of their music is funeral doom but it's not enough to describe their music!!!! There are a lot of non-doom ingredients like furious black metal riffs, eerie ambient sound, classical instruments, majestic chants, etc... I think it's hard to cook a good meal with tons of ingredients but they made it to create their own 5 stars dinner for funeral rites!!!!
