The beginnings of the magazine were built on the connections with Andy Warhol's Interview magazine featuring interviewed formats for its main content and sold as a newspaper. From 1979 to the closure of its print issues in September 2009, Studio Voice lined the magazine racks of major bookstores. In its height of circulation, the magazine saw distribution of over 100,000 copies but in recent years
with the decreased demand for print and depressed income from advertisement sources, the publication changed it direction and launched the online version of Studio Voice for its 405th issue. (September 2009)
Through the Apple's App Store, Studio Voice released its iPhone / iTouch app in June 2010.
『STUDIO VOICE』（スタジオボイス）は、1976年9月に創刊された日本の月刊カルチャー雑誌である。INFASパブリケーションズ（旧株式会社流行通信）発行。
概要
当初はタブロイド判の新聞の体裁をとっており、アンディ・ウォーホルによって創刊された『Interview』誌と提携して、インタビューを主な内容としていた。
1979年に、雑誌として書店で販売されることになった。
最盛期の発行部数は約10万部であったが、近年、部数が減少し、広告収入も落ち込んだことから、2009年8月6日発売の2009年9月号（通巻405号）をもって休刊した[1]。ただし、オンライン版のSTUDIO VOICE ONLINEは継続されている。
2010年6月より、App Storeにおいて、iPhone/iPod touchの専用アプリ「STUDIO VOICE」をリリース。
