Starting of the year with a new tradition embracing Japanese Culture. In Japan for a year now and still have lots to learn. For starters, I went to do my 7 Lucky Gods pilgrimage or Shichifukujin in Japanese. A centuries-old tradition dated back to Edo period coming from the idea of honoring the 7 Lucky Gods to attract good fortune and happiness! Going for a hunt of collecting 7 (goshuin) official stamps and seals while visiting the sacred places of worship that houses the 7 lucky Gods. Grateful for a strong finish and capped it all off with a celebratory chug!

What a great way to welcome the year og the dragon with gratitude and little luck!

One of the most Popular Shrines in Kyoto and in Japan. An Iconic sight made in dedication to Inari, the Shinto Goddess of Rice tracing back in 711 AD. One of its many outstanding features is the trail of 10,000 Tori Gates leading a path up to the mountain.

The Wisteria Flower or Fuji in Japanese representing love and longevity is one of the most beloved Spring Flower in Japan blooming late April-May. Most viewing spots in Japan holds a festival of Tunnel Gardens and Night illumination of Wisterias in various colors in pink, purple, yellow and white blooming together creating a spectacular sight.

One popular tunnel from the pictures is at 📍Kawachi Wisteria Garden 2 Chome-2-48 Kawachi, Yahatahigashi Ward, Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Japan. Home to 22 different Wisteria kind.✨

Motonosumi Inari Shrine.

A paradise shrine on the coast of Yamaguchi Prefecture believed to be made through a divine message from a white fox spirit to a local resident of Nagato.
Set on the hilltop is a big torii gate known to have an uncommon offering box that sits on top of its beam following the belief that good fortune comes to those who successfully throw a coin in to the box. Stunning scenery view of the Sea of Japan complimented by 123 red torii gates lined up forming a tunnel path leading to the shrine. ✨
