Intense and productive night tracking vocals and guitars for

3 mics for Yuki :
Neumann U87 for main vocals, Shure KSM32 for backing vocals and stacks, and an SM58 for handheld screams and other unhinged moments.

2 amps for Ko-Ta :
Roland JC-120 for the core sound, and a Marshall JCM900 for additional flavors and heavier power chord sections. Both were miked with an SM57 and a Rode NT2A, with a Countryman DI for safety and future reamping options.

We spent the final hour reamping .harutoooooooo ‘s bass through an Ampeg SVT-810E, miked with an Audio-Technica ATM25 and a Rode NT2A.

Can’t wait to get mixing!

Guitar pedalboard for tone coloring!

Tired of pulling out the odd pedal every time I needed one, I finally put together a selection of my favorite analog pedals to live permanently on my reamp chain. Makes it super quick to dial in and shape tones during production and mixing.

3 saturation pedals, 2 modulation, and an analog delay (patched both direct and via the Orange Micro Amp) equals pretty much endless options for layering, thickening, and bending drums, bass, synths, vocals, and of course guitars.

Super inspiring to have these within arm’s reach, and nice to bring some of my old tools from 20 years ago back into action.

Awesome session recording bass & guitar for with .sonouchi and Harry! Just blown away by the musicianship.

Kept it simple and went double DI for the tracking, with the option to Re-Amp if needed.
