In 2001, after graduating from high school, DJ Gana Gana started his own fashion store and working as a sound selector for West Star Sound System in Portland. He always had a deep love for music and dance and was a tremendously talented dancer. These passions eventually led to the start of his professional career as a dancer and choreographer. Over the next 6 years, DJ Gana Gana performed in large hotels (2001), major events (2001-2006), the main stage of Jamaican Jerk Festival (annually from 2002), TV commercials (2002 Red Label Wine), on stage with Ms. Triniti (2006) and a stage show in Antigua (Caribbean, 2007). His students, aged 4-6 years, also performed a dance festival contest held by the JCDC (Jamaica Cultural Development Commission) receiving a victory in Portland and taking second in Jamaica. His male high school students received third in Portland and a victory in Jamaica while the female high school students took second in in Portland. Damian Young also competed in the solo contest and took a victory in Portland and second in Jamaica. In 2005 DJ Gana Gana was featured in Mr. Vegas’ music video Tamale. In addition, in 2006, he started DJing and MCing across multiple five star hotels and clubs in Jamaica.
2007 was a big year for DJ Gana Gana. It kicked off with his first major tour – GANA GANA UK TOUR. This tour featured DJ Gana Gana DJing, MCing and dancing. Additionally, he played as an open selector and MC in Bristol (UK), performed on stage at the One Love Festival (Japan) as a special guest dancer, performed in CLUB UNITY (Tokyo, Japan), started a dance workshop in Negril (Jamaica), and was interviewed for HYPE TV (Jamaican Entertainment Program).
2008 was the start of DJ Gana Ganas career in England. He started the year off by opening a dance workshop at Dance Works and began DJing and MCing in major events across England. He also took home Best Dancer in the UK held in Bristol and another Best Dancer in the UK competition held in Birmingham. In 2009, DJ Gana Gana performed on the Jamaican TV program In The Dance. He also DJ’d and MC’d on a worldwide online live stream. DJ Gana Gana appeared in the music video Mr. Deejay by Ms. Triniti, as well as a music video by the Italian artist TEK Money. DJ Gana Gana toured Italy for 2 weeks doing DJ/MC work as well as dance shows and workshops then stopped in Tokyo for a special guest set at AMRAX. While in Japan he did a guest performance in both the Japan Dancehall King contest and the Japan Dancehall Queen contest in Tokyo. Additionally, he appeared in Mr. Vegas’ music video Gallis and Sassa Step and with Shaggy, Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, Red Foxx, Chris Martin and Cecile in the music video for Street Bullie Medley. He ended the year off with an interview with Full Effect Radio (New York). DJ Gana Gana opened a dance workshop, in 2010, in Tokyo. He then joined Ms. Triniti as a guest dancer for her Japan Tour in Tokyo, as a guest dancer and DJ/MC for her Japan Tour in Kagoshima (he also organized the Kagoshima event). DJ Gana Gana returned to the One Love Jamaican Festival as a guest dancer, performed with the Japan Dancehall King (SHY-N), began modeling in Japan, appeared as a guest dancer in Shinehead and Dawn Penn Japan Tour 2010, appeared in a TV Commercial for men’s fashion brand Public Image, performed and played at the DJ Kenny Japan Tour in Fukuoka and danced as a backup dancer for Wayne Wonder at Samishinbo Night in AGEHA (Tokyo). In 2011, DJ Gana Gana was brought on as a model and DJ for England fashion brand Topshop Topman. He also returned to the One Love Jamaican Festival as a guest dancer, DJ and MC. He performed in the music video Don’t Give Up Yourself by, Japanese reggae and pop artist, HAN-KUN. He also appeared as a guest DJ and MC at NEST in Okinawa, the I-Octane Japan Tour at club CITTA, the MO BEATZ & ROLLS ROYCE RIZZY Japan Tour in Osaka, the Terry Linen Japan Tour and at Diamond Saturday in Kumamoto. DJ Gana Gana started 2012 off with a bang as a guest DJ and MC at the DJ KUTT THROAT Japan Tour in Osaka. He then continued to guest DJ and MC at the New Boyz Japan Tour, Fire Links Japan Tour, and Tony Matterhorn Japan Tour. He also performed as a special guest DJ and MC at ANDO in Okinawa, One Love Jamaican Festival (also as a guest dancer) and at the Stone Love 40th Anniversary in Osaka. In 2013, DJ Gana Gana joined the Daville Japan Tour as a backup dancer in Osaka, returned to the One Love Jamaican Festival as a guest DJ, MC and dancer and did his own tour in Japan – GanaGana No Limit Japan Tour 2013. Additionally, he appeared as a guest DJ at JAM-A-YARD x REVOLUTION in Totori and Okayama with Tera-C from Infinity16 and Anthony from Gatlin Sound. He also performed as a guest dancer at the Amway special event, the Land Sat Awards in Osaka. DJ Gana Gana joined DJ Ami Suzuki as guest DJs at the MTV & J-Style Event – Virtual Rio – in Nagoya. 2013 was also the year in which DJ Gana Gana started his own record label – P.C.I Party Cup International. In 2014 DJ Gana Gana returned again to the One Love Jamaican Festival as a guest dancer, DJ and MC. He also released a mix on Mixcloud that reached 2nd in the Electronic Dance Music Chart, 12th in the EDM Music Chart, and 14th in the Progressive House Music Chart. DJ Gana Gana also had a chance to guest DJ with Sean Kingston on his Japan Tour in Osaka. He was also featured on Fish Bowl Radio Network in Texas. Bookings
