It’s been awhile since I made a mix but 45 Day is around the corner and I wanted to get back in the ring! Here’s 45 minutes of 45rpm records consisting of vintage r&b, soul and of course good old rock ‘n’ roll just as the weekend intended!

Kick off Friday (it’s a long weekend over here!) with a dance party in your kitchen, garden, bedroom, at work or wherever you’ll be spending this fine day.

As we’re getting ready to close up the physical Night Beat Records shop to prepare for our move out of Osaka - I want to give kudos to Yasunari James Fujii for the new website/online store. It’s still a work in progress getting thousands of records put onto it but that’s because it’s pretty epic if I do say so myself.

I’ve never seen an online record store like this before; James uploads high resolution scans AND hi fi audio of the actual records that are for sale so you can see and hear what you’re buying before you buy it! And if there are multiples of the same record he will still scan and make an audio file of each of them so you can see/hear the difference and decide which one you want. He also posts info and fun facts about the records and artists so it’s a fun site to dig through.

Check it out for yourself and buy our records (hey, diapers are expensive)! 😜
