In this world, you came alone, and you will have to leave alone.
Your parents gave birth to you — a bond of blood connects you to them.
Along the way, you’ll encounter some selfish people in your circle,
and find a few so-called friends.
But after all of this — you are, in truth, mostly alone.

🌸 Enoshima Island – One day trip from Tokyo

Just about an hour away from the hustle and noise of Tokyo, Enoshima Island feels like stepping into another world—a place where time slows down, the sea breeze softens your thoughts, and nature wraps you in peace.

Your journey begins with a relaxing train ride along the Shonan coast. As the city fades, the view opens to wide stretches of ocean, with gentle waves sparkling under the sun. Crossing the bridge to Enoshima, you’ll feel the shift—the salty air, the cries of seagulls, and the anticipation of discovery.

Spend your morning wandering through the narrow shopping street, lined with local snacks, handmade souvenirs, and freshly grilled seafood. A little further ahead lies the historic Enoshima Shrine, tucked into lush greenery, where travelers have prayed for love and fortune for centuries.

Climb higher, and you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking ocean views and, on clear days, the majestic outline of Mount Fuji beyond the horizon. In the afternoon, explore the mystical Iwaya Caves carved by the sea, where lantern-lit tunnels whisper stories of old legends.

As the day draws to a close, head to the Enoshima Sea Candle, the island’s iconic lighthouse and observation tower. Watching the sunset from here is magical—the sky painted in hues of gold and crimson, the waves shimmering with fading light.

By evening, as the island glows softly with lights, you’ll head back to Tokyo carrying the memory of a day that felt like both an adventure and a retreat. Enoshima is more than just a trip—it’s a reminder of how close paradise can be.

Yushin Valley – A Hidden Gem in Kanagawa 🌿

Have you heard of Yushin Valley (Yushin-keikoku / 湯進渓谷)?
It’s tucked deep inside the Tanzawa mountains in Kanagawa Prefecture, not too far from Tokyo.

🚗 Getting There
Most people travel by train to Hadano Station (Odakyu Line), then take a bus toward Okura or the Tanzawa area. From there, the road to Yushin is already a scenic journey—narrow mountain paths, small tunnels, streams, and waterfalls all around. Just reaching the valley feels like an adventure.

🥾 Hiking / Trekking Time
• From the bus stop to Yushin Valley: about 1.5 to 2 hours on foot
• Trail difficulty: Beginner to intermediate (not too steep, but long)
• Total time if you want to explore and return: around 4–5 hours

🍂 Why People Go There
• To see the emerald-green river running between cliffs
• To enjoy autumn colors that make the whole valley glow
• To walk in peaceful nature, away from the city noise
• For the feeling that every step is inside a painting 🌸

✨ If you’re near Tokyo and want a real hidden nature spot, Yushin Valley is worth the trip. The road, the water, the silence—it’s all unforgettable.

This is a unique vending machine in Tokyo that sells “Canned Tokyo Air” for ¥500. The can contains nothing but Tokyo’s air, presented as a quirky souvenir. The display highlights Akihabara, suggesting that visitors can take home a piece of Tokyo in the form of its air. It’s a fun and unusual example of Japan’s creative vending culture, where almost anything can be sold in a machine.

Tokyo Skytree – The Tallest Tower in Japan

Tokyo Skytree, standing at 634 meters, is the tallest structure in Japan and the world’s tallest broadcasting tower. Opened in 2012, it serves as a hub for digital broadcasting, while also housing restaurants, shopping complexes, and two observation decks at 350 meters and 450 meters. From the top, visitors can enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of Tokyo’s vast cityscape, and on clear days, even spot Mount Fuji. By night, the tower is illuminated with elegant themes, making it one of Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks.

To all travelers dreaming of Japan this year—there is one breathtaking sight you must not miss. Every autumn, fields across Japan transform into a sea of crimson red as the Spider Lily (Higanbana) bursts into bloom.

About the Spider Lily

Symbolism: In Japanese culture, the red spider lily represents farewells, rebirth, and the eternal cycle of life. Its vibrant scarlet petals remind us of the fleeting beauty of existence, echoing the same bittersweet emotion as cherry blossoms in spring.

Blooming Season: These flowers bloom around the autumn equinox (mid to late September), just as the summer heat fades into crisp autumn air.

Where to See Them:

Kinchakuda Manjushage Park (Saitama) – Japan’s most famous spider lily field with over 5 million blossoms.

Hitachi Seaside Park (Ibaraki) – where red spider lilies blend beautifully with other autumn flowers.

Kyoto’s temples and riverbanks – offering a deeply spiritual and serene atmosphere.
