YOUR BEAUTY IS WORTH CELEBRATING FOR| #MIssHeritageHumanity #MissHeritageS5
These past few days have been quite a battle for my insecurities and though, I recognize that I am beautiful in my own way, it's completely normal to feel like holding back. I am here to tell you your beauty is beyond your physical appearance, what matters more is what you have inside--cliche' to think, but it's really the one inside that keeps you glowing.
Celebrate your beauty, celebrate you! #BeyondBeauty #BeautyIsSkinfinite ❤✨☝
ON CHOICES AND REGRETS | #MissHeritageS5 #MissHeritageHabitat
Have I opted for the other choice, then I may not be writing this message to you all. I may not be able to give the 15-year-old me the chance of fulfilling her dream — to be a beauty queen one day.
My 1-year journey towards the Miss Heritage title is unquestionably a remarkable one. In this positive crusade I undertook, there were people who believed in me and rallied behind me. Of course, there were others who did not, which I thought was alright and expected given that it's all part of the process. Ever since the day I filed my application for Miss Venezolana to eventually earning the right to represent Venezuela in Miss Heritage, I already prepared myself for the possibilities, and for what could happen along the way.
Coming to Vietnam and finally meeting this truly competitive set of ladies vying for the crown, I already knew that I wasn't the best option for the title. I had two choices back then: continue doubting myself which will eventually lead to failure, or persevere and work hard whatever it takes. I went for the latter, not because I want to prove my worth to others, but to give myself an affirmation that I am strong, solid, capable, and competent. At some point, I was already on the verge of discontinuing and telling myself that "enough has been done", but there were these people who became my source of strength and motivation, and so I chose to rise up and remain unfazed.
I can't believe that while writing this message, I didn't realize I was already tearing up. That's how Miss Heritage meant a lot for me, I guess. And although I did not capture the crown I've dreamt of from the very beginning, I certainly did not regret the choices I made that led me to where I am now. I certainly did not regret the choices I made that actually opened doors for my growth as a pageant contender. If there's one significant realization that I learned throughout this journey, that is to "NEVER LET SOME
FASHION VOYAGE | #MissHeritageS4
My greatest favorite of all is runway or the pasarela. As we celebrate the fashion industry and most especially the partnership with Dior, it is important that we know how to walk these outfits. An outfit can be a challenge especially if its from a generation you're not born with. 1950s signature are gloves, dress like, electric pleats and skirts. The best way to handle it is to let it show yourself with your walk. Nothing beats an authentic walk in a challenge where there's much attention to detail.
After her reign as Miss Heritage S3, Catriona has continuously promote Historic Places, Local Products and Artisans and Traditions in the Philippines, as core foundation of Heritage. She's now the Ambassador of the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCAA) in her country. Truly a Queen of service! Kudos Catriona!
