The world's smallest escalator, known as the Puchicalator, is located in the basement of More's Department Store in Kawasaki, Japan.

With just five steps and a height of 83.4 centimeters (2.7 feet), it holds the Guinness World Record for the shortest escalator.

Originally designed to connect the store to an underground shopping center, the escalator was too short to fulfill its intended purpose.

It now serves more as a quirky attraction than a practical transportation tool. The Puchicalator was switched to an upward escalator, making it usable for a small 83.4 cm climb.
