Belgium, one of the hardest hit countries in Europe. Infections are up BUT death rates are down. The "CORONA" virus is getting WEAKER by itself as is normal for a virus. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR SOME TIME NOW AS CAN BE SEEN ON MY FACEBOOK, NOBODY LISTENING BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY ARE CLEVER WHILE IN REAL THEY ARE DONKEYS...

Fewer corona infections die from the virus now compared to this spring, shows a new study from Oxford University in the UK, which is based on Germany's statistics, writes Verdens Gang.

This also applies to the elderly who become ill.

Researchers have compared statistics on mortality among corona infected in Germany in March and August.

At the beginning of the pandemic, the death rate was stable in relation to the number of infections. Now the proportion who die among those infected has fallen, despite the fact that the number of infected is increasing, according to the study.

For those over 80, the mortality rate was 29 percent in the last week of April. The following week, it fell slightly, to 27 percent, and from mid-July it was 11 percent. This means a decline of as much as 61 percent, the report's authors write.

The same tendency can also be seen in Norway, confirms Line Vold, head of department at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health.

“We believe that this can partly be explained by the fact that we now see a higher number of infected among young people, who do not run the same risk of becoming seriously ill and dying, as the elderly, and partly that we detect far more cases of mild disease in all age groups because we are testing many more than we did last spring ", she writes in an email to VG.

She adds that one also sees an effect of increasing the experience of treating patients, and that those who become ill now can therefore receive better care.
