"As I wear any of my many JA shirts, I am filled with the spirit of positivity, determination, love and joy that defines Jamaican culture." - Carl Stein, Trinidadian

See the full post below:

In the midst of it all, there are people like Carl Stein, a Trinidadian who has tremendous love for Jamaica and has adopted our culture:
This is one of his many stories:

Earlier this week, I had to conduct some business at the Department of Motor Vehicles in NYC and knew that there were some challenges doing so because of the excessive documentation and unnecessary run around.

This could be a difficult process if you meet up with the *wrong* person at the office. In order to increase my chances of success, I proudly wore my Jamaican shirt as I figured out there must be a Jamaican at the office. If so, my chances of success would be significantly increased.

I knowingly chose to conduct my business with confidence and flair, knowing that the love and friendliness of Jamaican people towards me will prevail, if a Jamaican was the clerk. Yuh, know as soon as mi walked in, they assigned me to ah Jamaican clerk.

The clerk say she name is Ms Tyrell. Ms Tyrell took great care to assist me in completing the forms and ensuring that the entire process was painless and saw it through until completion. I made it clear to her that I was Trini enuh. There were some hiccups with what documents I needed. She allowed me to leave and return without losing a beat to get it all done.

As I wear any of my many JA shirts, I am filled with the spirit of positivity, determination, love and joy that defines Jamaican culture. I am confident that my passion, combined with the energy and pride that I feel in my association with the JA people, I will ALWAYS attract success and *happiness* in all my endeavors with Jamaica and its people.

I will always let the vibrant spirit of Jamaica shine through me and guide me towards achieving my happiness and goals!

Above photo is me at the Motor Vehicle office.
