You MUST exert the right level of intensity to combat the warfare against your soul in order to be an OVERCOMER! Because of the intensity of your rebellion against God and what is fighting you, you must fight back with the tenacity of a pit bull!
Many Christians fail because they do not confront their problems with the necessary force and effort against their flesh, pride, and lust, which perpetuates their rebellion.
You are facing something that is insidiously destroying you from within, yet your response is too casual! THAT WILL NOT WORK!
When I first got saved, God led me to confront my flesh with intensity against worldliness and the devil. I could not afford a casual response. I remember giving up everything initially—secular music and my free time, which I devoted to prayer, unlike other young Christians who continued with their usual activities: playing basketball, going to the movies, watching TV, and dating.
I abandoned gang life and everything else cold turkey because I needed that level of intensity to control my inward struggle.
I fasted frequently, especially after completing a 3-day fast. I achieved this through prayer, fasting, and consistently studying God's word until I began to feel a transformation within me. I continued this until everything in me yielded to God.
The process of purging my nature of evil required submission, yielding, dying to self, and ultimately changing through refilling myself with God's power and the Holy Spirit's anointing. This intense focus took 3.5 to 4 years after emerging from a worldly life at 17.
It required at least four years of daily death to self, prayer, and unbroken dedication to studying the Word and fasting. If I needed this as a 17-year-old, what do adults, who have lived in ungodliness for many more years, require? It may be harder, but God will assist you if you commit!
Many want to obey but are unwilling to engage in the rigorous discipline needed to achieve personal victory and ultimately enter eternal life. THEY WILL NOT DO WHAT IT TAKES TO ADDRESS “THE ISSUE OF SIN” in their lives!
This issue could lead them to hell, just as it will for you if you do not confront the forces both within and around you that threaten your well-being.
INTENSIFY! It’s time to INTENSIFY YOUR WARFARE, FIGHT, FOCUS, AND DISCIPLINE AGAINST YOUR SINS, DISOBEDIENCE, FLESH, THE WORLD, AND THE DEVIL! Ruthlessly eliminate what seeks to destroy you.
When your rebellion is out of control, you must match that intensity in your fight for your soul!
The preservation of your soul for eternity is paramount! If you respond to the evil and intense problems within you with a casual attitude, it will not succeed! IT NEVER HAS! Jesus said to strive to enter through the narrow gate.
The Bible states that we shall enter the kingdom of God through much tribulation. This path is not easy, but it is worth it in the end! What does it profit you to gain the whole world but lose your soul? NOTHING!
Eternal life is invaluable! That’s why Jesus said few will find eternal life—many are unwilling to discipline themselves to confront their intense rebellion against God's laws and the inner turmoil leading them astray.
Decide today to get on the potter’s wheel intensely! Confront the issues of sin in your life with double the force and ruthlessness that they are trying to take you out with! Be relentless in your process! Stay focused with intensity! Your soul depends on it!
