As you probably know or have seen, Jersey Dairy has been totally revamped the new cartons for milk :
"The new "Rex Bio" carton is also Carbon Trust certified. Manufactured by Tetra Pak, have reduced the carbon footprint of each package by 22% using plastics made from sugarcane. This new carton will be the first in the UK and the Channel Islands and is a step in the right direction while recycling resources in Jersey for Tetra Pak products remain limited." Well done! I wish we could do something with local vegetables in Jersey, to be promoted in shops ( especially in the summer), lower the prices so we can actualy feel the taste of tomato, not just to imagine that...

Hi all, just a quick update from authorities regarding Storm Ciara also from the Airport, most of departures for today are canceled.
Be safe out there! 🌊 🌬

Following a meeting with representatives from all Emergency Services, all Honorary Police, Growth Housing and Environment, Jersey Met Office, Ports of Jersey and Justice and Home Affairs the follow advice is issued regarding Storm Ciara.

With wind speeds predicted to peak at Gale Force 10 and tidal range to peak at up to 11.8 meters, the public are warned to expect heavy flooding particularly in the low lying East, South and Westerly coastal areas.

The particular times of note are around the high tides at 6:52p.m tonight and 7:09a.m tomorrow. There will be a risk of flying debris including stones due to the predicted high winds.

The public are requested to travel only if necessary and to expect travel delays and cancellations to both road & air Travel. Expect Victoria Ave to be shut between the hours of 5:30pm - 9:00pm today and 5:30am - 09:30am tomorrow. There is potential for the remainder of the coast road up until St Brelade Parish Hall to be closed. Due to this please avoid these areas and if travelling to take an alternative route if you have to travel and expect delays.

In addition the public are asked to keep away from these areas to avoid risk and harm and not to put themselves in any unnecessary danger especially in coastal areas.

With regards to personal property please ensure it is either bought inside or tied down and secured.
