Paola Di Nicola è professore ordinario di sociologia dei processi culturali e comunicativi presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Umane dell'Università di Verona.

Da anni conduce ricerche teoriche ed empiriche sui cambiamenti dei modelli familiari, sia a livello macro (cambiamenti da punto di vista demografico e socio- economico), che a livello micro:mutamenti nelle relazioni di coppia, tra le generazioni e nelle forme della genitorialità.

Paola Di Nicola ha sviluppato un rilevante percorso di ricerca teorico ed empirico sul tema della genesi del paradigma di rete e sulla morfogenesi delle reti personali nella società globale.
