CLOSURE OF IRONIC MUSIC BOOKING AGENCY
Dear Clients, Partners, and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of Ironic Music Booking Agency. For over 13 years, Ironic Music has been a pioneer in the New England music scene, creating a unique niche and helping to shape the way live music is booked and enjoyed in the region. We have had the privilege of working with countless talented solo artists, duos, and trios, mainly focusing on acoustic music, and booking performances in small to medium-sized venues well before this approach became mainstream. Over the years, we expanded to book all kinds of artists, from various genres and all sizes of groups, performing in diverse venues across New England.
When I entrusted the business to a close friend and musician, I did so with the hope and expectation that it would continue to flourish. Unfortunately, despite his musical talents, the necessary dedication to social media, marketing, networking, and compliance with state licensing requirements was not upheld. This has led to the difficult decision to close the agency.
I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all the musicians, venue owners, and supporters who have been a part of this incredible journey. Your trust and collaboration have been invaluable, and am proud to have been a part of and nurtured a vibrant music community together.
This isn't the end of my story though! Change is a constant melody in life's song, and mine has taken me back to Italy, a place where I have deep roots and endless inspiration. As Ironic Music Booking Agency concludes its journey, a new chapter begins. I'm venturing into the travel design industry with my new consultancy, "Italian Itinerary." It's a niche that combines my passion for exploration with creating unique experiences in this beautiful country.
Stay tuned for future endeavors in this exciting field! Follow along on my journey. Please like and follow me on:

Time to introduce you all to our next artist feature… meet Barry Young!
“Barry Arvin Young is a New England native hailing from coastal Maine who has made a life from music creation and performance. Four albums of his own music, guitarist and songwriting credits with the Kelly Parker Band in the 1990s, producer credits with D.T. Seizure and others independent Portland Maine bands, guitarist for Joan Kennedy, live sound engineer for Bebe Buell and The Gargoyles, Sam Black Church, tour engineer for Thanks To Gravity, and two seasons of music including writing the theme song for the cable TV program “Riding Steel” are among the works he has produced over time. His latest effort “The Less I Say...” is a 12 song singer/songwriter collection recorded alone with no other accompaniment and was produced by Andrew Morgan in his Falmouth Maine recording studio. When not at work on his creative efforts he can usually be seen along the New England coast ranging from Bar Harbor, Maine to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire during the tourist season playing summertime classics.”
Barry has gigs at JB’s Seafood and Boardwalk Cafe this week, check out the Ironic Gig Calendar in our bio for more details!
Our next Artist Feature is… April Cusman!
“The passion and love for country music started at just the small age of five, for April. Growing up in church singing with the children’s choir, “Key of G”, she quickly picked up a sense of music being where her heart felt the most comfortable. Through grade school, April played in concert band and honors jazz band, excelling at flute, alto saxophone and guitar.
April continues to excel with any stringed instrument, including mandolin, banjo and even non-stringed, such as piano. Her love for energetic, spirited country music has always been heavily influenced by some of her favorite artists including Brandi Carlile, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Caitlyn Smith, Liz Longley, Mitchell Tenpenny and so many more. She has opened for artists such as Chase Rice, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drake White, Michael Tyler, Ryan Upchurch, Sam Grow and more,
while making appearances at shows for the following artists:
Lady Antebellum
Darius Rucker
Russell Dickerson
Sugarland
Lindsay Ell
Frankie Ballard
Jason Isbell
Brandi Carlisle
Jimmie Allen
Old Dominion
Jordan Davis”
Check out the link in our bio to see where April is playing near you!

Hello Music Lovers! We are so excited to start featuring the artists we work with on our socials. After all, there’s nothing better than finding new local musicians!
Starting with… Abrielle Scharff!
“Abrielle Scharff is a young twenty-something who would love to stop hearing women being placed in a fake genre known as ‘female singer-songwriter.’
Her smooth vocal timbre is that of Norah Jones, her genuine lyrics alike to Brandi Carlile, and her stage presence comparable to Stevie Knicks. Her sound will remind you of Phoebe Bridgers, Kacey Musgraves, and Fleetwood Mac all at once.
In the last few years, Abrielle has released a handful of singles along with her debut full length studio album. Her song, ‘New York Makes Me Cry,’ was referred to by Popdust as a ‘sensitive treatment of well crafted songwriting.’
Abrielle’s content is synonymous with honesty; some songs written with her head but in many, her heart narrates. Each track makes even her most personal stories relatable.”
Check her out!!
