Taking over Fuorisalone.it and the newly instituted FuorisaloneTV and FuorisaloneMagazine, as well as the highly influential Design at 360° platform, part of Milano Design Week. This is where not only direct design links are instituted between Milan and Cairo, but also between Cairo and other cities in the region and Africa, as well as between Milan and other cities in Europe and beyond. This collaboration is a launching point for the best of both cities to reach the world.

Introducing „Echoes of Eden“, the latest collection from Chelsea Jean Lamm in collaboration with collage artist Ashley Elizabeth Lamm and mask artist Carina Shoshtary.

This collection transports you to an unfathomable environment where utopian animals rule supremely and the lines between human, animal, and machine are blurred by drawing inspiration from the deep water and its magical residents. Each piece of clothing has a potent narrative that makes the wearer feel strong and unstoppable.

"Echoes of Eden" celebrates the idea of a time in the future where people and technology live in harmony with the environment. This collection pushes us to reflect on what it means to be human and to embrace the boundless potential of our interconnected world with pieces that incorporate startling cyborg aspects and hints to artificial intelligence.

Anouska Hempel, a famous interior and landscape designer, has entrusted Dreweatts with the task of selling the contents of her family's residence. In addition to serving as a family home, the stunning Grade II-listed Shaw House in Wiltshire is a prime example of Hempel's theatrical talent for fusing modern architecture with period details, ingenious construction, and the height of luxury in its interiors.

She refers to her previous country home Shaw House as "a happy place," and looking around the interiors, it's easy to understand why. Here, she uses the well-known and distinctive design strategies that have earned her international fame. The nine-bedroom manor house also features effective groupings of furniture, set within clever lighting designs that capture the rich colour palette she uses to infuse comfort and style. These architectural effects include perspective plays, dramatic colours that emulate various periods and styles, as well as textural fabrics.

Ms.Hempel established herself as a prominent figure in the design world when she opened London's first five-star boutique hotel, Blakes, in South Kensington in 1978. This was followed by The Hempel in London's Bayswater. In 2022, HRH Princess Michael of Kent gave her the renowned Andrew Martin Lifetime Achievement Award for "her elusive, impossible to define but instantly recognisable design.

A poetry of materials that Angelo Mangiarotti blends with daring functionality in Cavalletto. It’s an everlasting icon that represents the design aesthetic of a complex individual who was able to powerfully combine coherence and beauty, ethics and aesthetics.

Agapecasa created by Agape established to republish Angelo Mangiarotti's original designs, broadens the Cavalletto system. The Mangiarotti Collection is a line that Agapecasa has solely manufactured since it was created in the 1950s by the famous master and Bruno Morassutti.

An iconic design in terms of coherence and innovative charge that has been painstakingly conserved in terms of its theoretical, compositional, and formal uniqueness by the ardent analysis of the Mangiarotti Archives.

Cavalletto is a furniture system that was first introduced in 1953 and is incredibly versatile. It is intended to provide modular, all-wood furniture that is simple to install, disassemble, and remodel with tremendous flexibility to always produce a cohesive design environment.

From the catwalks to reality, the bags take the form of (sometimes unusual) animals, quickly going viral.
These days, favours a hand-signed pigeon bag, but the company isn't the only one to draw inspiration from the animal kingdom. In fact, bags mimic various “sometimes strange” animals in real life after appearing on catwalks and quickly going viral.

Carrie Bradshaw in And Just Like That hid gum in her one of those long lines that famously bears the name of a New York neighborhood, then closed the JW Anderson-designed Pigeon Clutch Suite. Debuting on the men's catwalks of the Fall-Winter 2023 2024 collection, it quickly went viral and - of course - sold out.

x TRIBUTE TO THE WORLD OF MUSIC, Since its establishment, Audemars Piguet has constantly built bridges with the music world, particularly through its pioneering role in the development of chiming watches. The Royal Oak Offshore collection has featured collaborations with various artists, drawing on their inspiration and inspiring them in turn.

The Royal Oak Offshore Music Edition line, launched in 2022, celebrates this long-standing relationship with a brand-new aesthetic: a Tapisserie dial reproducing the motifs of an equaliser, knurled-textured studs reminiscent of jack plugs and crown guards inspired by the fader on mixing consoles. Featuring a sapphire crystal curved along the 6 to 12 o’clock axis and enlarged bevels, these selfwinding hours, minutes and seconds models radiate a colourful, pop-inspired style that is both bold and refined.

The appointment is renewed by the Lake Como Design Festival's collection of modern design, which was this year's curator, Giovanna Massoni. All of the chosen pieces will be displayed throughout the festival's days and made available for purchase through an online auction specifically planned for this edition by Catawiki, a previous partner of the festival. Villa Salazar, a neoclassical-styled building from the eighteenth century that is now open to the public, will host the exhibition in 2023.

"In a territory famous all over the world but without an international quality cultural offer, the contribution of this project is very important in terms of raising awareness," continues Prandelli. "Wonderlake's goal is in fact to actively contribute to the creation of an offer that can consolidate over the years and enrich the spirit of those who live in this territory and those who visit it for the first time. In this system logic, the role of main accommodation activities in the area is essential, as points of contact and promotion of this cultural offer to the rest of the world thanks to their public.The fact that the main hotels on the lake are showing concrete interest in this project confirms that we are working in the right direction."

This confirms Como's status as a key design destination, with beneficial economic effects also seen along the tourism supply chain: "It is crucial for us to develop a cultural offer starting with the city. Tourists are a crucial segment of the population for us, but locals are even more crucial, says Prandelli. "The festival becomes more and more a project of interest to a very diverse public, where the citizen plays a central role, thanks to the collaboration with the Municipality of Como which opens important historical places to the project, thanks to the contribution of private individuals who are doing the same, and thanks to the collaboration with other bodies, like for example the rationalist architectures in the guided tour itinerary.

The first furniture collaboration between the API women-owned firm and with a charming play on the Chinese word “bao” a homonym for bun, bag, precious, and baby. Bao was conceived to bridge the gap between formal and informal, sedate and lively. Its sculptural silhouette reflects the simplicity and sophistication of its construction-graceful combination of craftsmanship and clean aesthetics.

This manifested in several ways-as a concentric quilted seat top, as a signature seam stitch and as a protective metal cap on the stacking model.

geometry, with those characteristics of a former workshop where one can easily imagine a craftsman working
with metal.

Overlooking the inner courtyard, amidst rough concrete and meticulous details without excess, is
the series of large windows that provide light for the many plants that populate the house. Light tones prevail,

#CMDNews: Six decades in the making, @christojeanneclaude’s life long dream of wrapping the Arc De Triumph is finally coming to life. Sixty years after Christo came up with the vision, the final touches of “L’Arc de Triomphe Wrapped” are being added, for a final reveal and free access to the public starting September 18th. The couple were known for wrapping iconic monuments all around the world - and their hearts were set on Paris’ Arc De Triumph, yet the project had to be delayed due to accessibility and permits. 25,000 square metres of silvery fabric, secured by 3,000 metres of contrasting red rope were used for the installation, and they reflect the colors of the French flag. 🇫🇷 #CairoMilanoDesign
