Lemme tell yall sumn bout me… I hate PDs like the next teacher 🤪, but babyyy, when I saw I almost lost it.

His whole thing was 🔥🔥. But I already knew it was gone be. I will not lie, teaching has drained my soul lately, but he for real made me feel less jaded. I wish it was an all day PD tbh. But my take aways were these:

1. You need a mission. A short, one sentence mission statement. How do you know you’re successful if you don’t have an actual mission?

2. You need a metric by which you’ll measure that mission. Again, how will you know you achieved your mission without measuring it?

3. You need a mantra. What is the word or phrase that will carry you this year? To keep you going and renewed. Put that word up. Make it visible.

I NEEDED Principal Rahh, and I’m so glad I got to meet him IRL and not just on the innanets.

Principal Rahh, keep doing what you doing. It’s been a min since I’ve felt like this. You sparked something in me again, and I appreciate it. 🩵🩵

Proof of life and living!

This weekend my fine Baby Daddy and I went to my little bros wedding.

I danced til my legs burned, laughed til cried, ate til I couldn’t any more, and embraced new family.

In life, some of us get really lucky to add family that we weren’t born with. For me, it’s many, and among those are the Chingayas. I added a mom, dad, and three brothers, and now an awesome sister in law. Welcome to the family, Heather.

Also, this is why can’t nobody tell me I’m not Zimbabwean. How I’m not Zimbabwean, but my family is? Make it make sense. 😒😏.

I’m on the up and up folks. I laughed harder this weekend than I have in months. 🖤🖤

My Dearest Friends,

I’m alive, but I haven’t been well… up until the last two weeks or so anyway. I’m sorry I neglected yall. The death of my sister in Aug, coupled with my brother in June of last year just really sent me to my darkest place. I was barely functioning. I couldn’t sleep. I could barely eat, and the gym was so far out of reach.

So with the help of God, my friends/family, my dr and new therapist, I’m getting through. I feel… idk… regulated again.

I feel like I can breathe again. I no longer feel debilitated and overcome with grief. I still have my days of course, but I can function again. I’m grateful for God, anti-depressants, sleeping meds, friends/family, and my INCREDIBLE HUSBAND.

I love y’all. I’m on the mends, and I’m feeling good. Thank y’all for your love and support. I am eternally indebted. 🖤🖤

I wish the love and support I have on everyone!! Every single person. 🖤🖤

One thing about me baby… imma be me. I have no idea how to be anybody else. So if you found yourself not liking me on FB I hate to be the bearer of bad news, my boy, but it ain’t gone change on them other platforms ORRR hear me out… IRL. We had a good run tho… or maybe we didn’t. Either way✌🏾🤷🏾‍♀️🤣🤣

Growing up, I remember my mama telling me stories of how her teachers, nurses, pastors etc all lived in the community. She would reminisce about her childhood and say how kids were raised differently when they knew their village actually lived in the community. There was always someone around to love them, to reprimand them, to protect them, to discipline them.

That was my dream when I became a teacher. I wanted my kids to know that I lived in the community and that I was part of that village. Today, my last class graduated. I realized TODAY that this would be the last class that recognizes me in the neighborhood. That would yell 🗣️MRS. JIMENEZ in the grocery store, or Target, or a school game.

Today hit different as I realized a dream of mine that had once come to fruition no longer existed. I love these babies. And I’ll forever be a part of their village. But today was hard. Real hard. Joyful. But hard.

Last day of school, first time holding a chicken. ♥️🐣🐥

SoOo. My school’s agriculture teacher (seen in the back) let me hold one of their chickens. How cool is that? In my heart, I’m becoming more of a country girl. In. My. Heart. Onlyyy. 🤣

Here’s my garden I neglected for a bit. 😬Me, the hubby and the chirrens cleaned it out last sat, so it’s looking great! And last but not least, if you missed my stories, here’s some veggies my garden has given me. Cuz ya girl out here growing ishhh. 💪🏾

I met last night. Her comedy set was FLAWLESS and HILARIOUSS. She has truly mastered her craft. Her father opened up for her, and he was also HILARIOUS! That’s something I’ll prolly never witness again. Imagine how incredible that core memory will be… doing standup with your dad as the opening act. Love that. 🖤

A few things I can write on my bucket list… and then cross off:

✅ Going to my first real comedy show
✅ Meeting the comedian that just made me laugh.
✅ Having that comedian make fun of your height
✅ making that comedian laugh.
✅ Doing ALL that while spending a BEAUTIFUL night and making core memories and laughing with my closest friends… Priceless. 💸

I really REALLY want y’all to answer this.

I walked into the gym today, and the manager asked me this. Taken aback, I really had to think, but my answer was basically that the longevity of friendships does not equate to the QUALITY of the friendship. Lemme explain.

During the Trump administration, I found out a lot of folks I’d broken bread wit, went to school wit, prayed wit, laughed wit, cried wit, celebrated wit, known since I was young etc. weren’t for ME or a WHOLE BUNCH of other people. I feel embarrassed it took me so long to see the racism, s*xism homophobia, transphobia, etc etc. but I learned.

I appreciated this question. So now I’m asking y’all, “What’s a life lesson you had to learn the hard way?”

Yesterday, Jan 23rd, started 🗣️TAX SEASON! And I got the perfect guest for y’all. is THE brotha to know. He began his practice as a CPA in 2017. Since then, he has worked at Big 4 accounting firm, Ernst & Young (EY), Delphi, Pulte Homes and Truist (previously SunTrust). During his time at these companies, he worked with large public and private clients in the Automotive, Health Care, and Consumer Banking Industries.

Dr. Katy Girlinghouse taught me so much, and I need y'all to get this knowledge too.. From leaking, to s*x, to all things pelvic floor health, she didn't come to play with all the things she shared. Dr. Katy Girlinghouse is a pelvic health physical therapist who specializes in treatment of abdominopelvic dysfunction and pain. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas. She owns The Fit Pelvis in McKinney, Texas where she helps people resolve pelvic dysfunctions by empowering them to understand their bodies and meet their goals.

Ezinne Dawson is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), wife and mama of 5. At the age of 15, she witnessed her first live birth and saw how her mother (and women period) were treated during the process. She became a doula in 2015 and realized quickly she wanted to do more to support birthing families. So after the delivery of her last 2 children at home, she accepted the calling to become a midwife in 2017.
