Almost all hawks are painted from above in dark colors: gray-brown, gray, slate or brown shades. Blowing the body is light: whiteish, yellowish, light-ocher tones with dark transverse stripes or longitudinal pendans in young individuals. Some species have a brighter color, for example, a light hawk (Accipiter Novaehollandiae).
Sometimes the individuals of the same species are painted in different ways. For example, the Hawk-aoker, who lives in Kamchatka and in the northeastern regions of Russia, can be completely white, unlike its traditionally painted relatives living elsewhere.
Paws and flaw in yellow rays. Fingers, sets and claws are long, but, depending on the species, can differ in length and thickness.
Operation on the fingers is absent. Musculature of legs is very powerful.

The wings in the hawk are relatively short and stupid, compared with other representatives of the family. The tail is long and wide, straight cut or rounded. At species that live in less wooded areas, for example, songwriters (Melierax), wings are longer. The structure of the body and the appearance of the bird is due to its lifestyle and habitat.
The hawk is a forest bird, it can deftly fly through thick thickets, it is easy to make turns in a vertical and horizontal direction, stopped sharply and also suddenly take off, as well as make short throws. Walking on the hunt, the hawk is well maneuver between trees and can attack his victim unexpectedly. This is helped by small sizes of body and wings, as well as their form.
Hawks either publish either puller sounds "ki-and-and, ki-and-and", or short and sharp "ki ki". Creams are coming from the forest quite often.
Where are the hawks inhabit?
The habitat habitat is very wide. They inhabit almost all Eurasia from Forestandra in the north and to the southern end of the mainland. Also, hawks live in Australia, Africa, North and South America, on the Islands of Indonesia, in the Philippines, in Tasmania, in Madagascar, at Ceylon and other islands. They can be found in the mountainous and in flat terrain, in coniferous, deciduous forests, in the tropical jungle, in Savannah. Although birds will settle in wooded areas, deep into the forests they are not climbed, preferring roast, bright, open forest edges, ripeny forests and gentlemen. Some species have adapted even to open landscapes.
Hawks, living in moderate latitudes, lead a settling lifestyle, and residents of the northern regions migrate south. During the life of hawks, mostly adhere to a permanent territory.
