"Fartlek", termine nato dal linguaggio svedese, che significa "gioco di movimento"
La label Fartlec rec. nasce dall idea di Massimiliano Ruggiero e Luca Gaeta, due giovani djs italiani con l'idea di lasciare il segno nel mondo della musica elettronica. L'etichetta si prefigge di dare alla luce una serie di produzioni innovative e caratterizzate da un stile di techno originale e in continua evoluzione ma che prende ispirazione anche da tutto ciò che è stato fatto prima. Danno prova di questo le prime release affidate ad artisti emergenti e sicuramente assimilabili alla scena underground come: Urbano, Plural e Joton. Evolvere vuol dire innanzitutto avere di per sè una natura duttile capace di assecondare qualunque mutamento, l'obiettivo è quindi essere in grado di concepire novità giorno dopo giorno per giungere ad una completa concezione di un genere che ha nella sorpresa il suo principale punto di attrazione.
