Successful Distribution of Seedlings and Fertilizers Held in Rajah Buayan, Maguindanao del Sur
RAJAH BUAYAN, Maguindanao del Sur — In November 2025, the Municipal Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR–BARMM) of the Municipality of Rajah Buayan successfully conducted the distribution of seedlings, fertilizers, and other agricultural assistance aimed at supporting local farmers and fisherfolk.
The activity was implemented under the capable and dedicated leadership of DR. RUDEN S. MALIGA, Municipal MAFAR Officer, with the primary objective of strengthening agricultural productivity and improving the livelihood of underprivileged farmers and fisherfolk in the municipality.
The successful implementation of the program was made possible through strong collaboration with the local government, led by Municipal Mayor HON. BAI MARUJA A. MASTURA, whose continued commitment to agricultural development and food security has greatly benefited the people of Rajah Buayan.
Significant support was also extended by the industrious Provincial Director of One Maguindanao–MAFAR, HON. DR. ROJAMIN MAULANA, who consistently advocates for programs that uplift the welfare of farmers and fisherfolk across the province.
Under the guidance of the Secretary of MAFAR–BARMM, officials conducted field visits and community inspections to closely assess the actual conditions of farmers and fisherfolk, ensuring that government assistance reaches those who need it most.
In addition, a food assistance distribution under the “Walang Gutom” Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region XII, led by Regional Director CABAYA, was also carried out to further strengthen food security among beneficiary families.
Through sustained collaboration among local and regional agencies, officials ensured the availability of fresh, high-quality vegetables, with Maguindanao del Sur serving as a key supplier. This initiative aims to guarantee the provision of safe, nutritious, and affordable produce for the residents of Rajah Buayan.
The success of this initiative reflects the effective leadership, strong inter-agency cooperation, and genuine public service of HON. BAI MARUJA A. MASTURA, HON. DR. ROJAMIN MAULANA, and the entire MAFAR–BARMM team in their continued efforts to promote agricultural development and improve the lives of farmers and fisherfolk in the municipality.

INTERVIEW WITH PRINCIPAL SUKARNO U. AMPATUAN, CONDUCTED ON BEHALF OF ABC PRESIDENT
Radja Buayan, Maguindanao del Sur — A meaningful interview was recently conducted with Principal Sukarno U. Ampatuan, who served as the representative of ABC President Hon. Baby Camsa Ampatuan, in relation to several issues faced by the community in the town of Radja Buayan.
According to Principal Ampatuan, there was a temporary misunderstanding in some sectors of the barangay due to fishing in prohibited water bodies. However, he clarified that the said issue was immediately addressed through proper dialogue and cooperation between barangay and municipal officials, to maintain order and conservation of natural resources.
Despite this, Ampatuan expressed his satisfaction and gratitude for the ongoing programs of the town government under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. HRH Bai Maruja A. Mastura. Among the things he praised were the distribution of solar lights and other assistance that are of great relief to farmers, especially in remote areas.
Principal Ampatuan also emphasized the important role of the youth and local officials in the continued development of the town. He commended his daughter, Hon. Bai Isnaeera Ampatuan Blah, currently a member of the Sangguniang Bayan, for actively promoting educational programs, particularly in the study of English and Arabic.
He said that continued investment in education will be the cornerstone of Radja Buayan’s long-term development. “Education,” he said, “is the guiding light for the future of our town—a legacy that will never fade.”
Overall, the interview reaffirmed the unity of the local government, the education sector, and the people in a common goal: a peaceful, prosperous, and educated Radja Buayan.

Officer-in-Charge. Sa naturang operasyon, isang transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu ang aksidenteng nahulog mula sa bulsa ng suspek habang siya ay iniinspeksyon.

Dalawang sachet ng hinihinalang shabu, drug paraphernalia, isang motorsiklo, at iba pang personal na gamit ang narekober ng pulisya. Isinagawa ang wastong marking at inventory ng mga ebidensya sa presensya ng barangay opisyal at kinatawan ng media.

Pinuri ni MPPO PD PCOL, SULTAN SALMAN H. SAPAL, ang kapulisan ang mahusay na pamumuno ni PLT Patrick M. Dangalao at ang buong suporta ng Municipal Mayor sa pinaigting na kampanya kontra ilegal na droga sa bayan.

Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng Datu Saudi Ampatuan MPS ang suspek para sa pagsasampa ng kaukulang kaso, habang ang mga ebidensya ay isinusumite na sa Regional Forensic Unit BAR para sa pagsusuri.

General S. K. Pendatun Honors Youth in Colorful State of the Children’s Address

GENERAL S. K. PENDATUN, Maguindanao del Sur — As the hometown of the country’s first Muslim senator, General S. K. Pendatun is known for having great leaders who truly care about their constituents. Therefore, in continuation of this legacy, the local government offered a joyful celebration for the youth, featuring Jollibee and other programs, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Mielyn D. Ali this December 9 at the town’s Gymnasium.

In his message, Mayor Ali emphasized that, “the youth are one of the main hopes of the town,” which is why they are being provided with more programs that inspire and support them.

Youth Who Brought Honor, Honored

Recently, a youth competition called “Soulmate” was held in which five towns in Maguindanao del Sur — Paglat, Buluan, Datu Paglas, Pandag, and General S. K. Pendatun — participated. In the said competition, the youth from General S. K. Pendatun came out on top and won honors, which is why the LGU offered a special thank you to them.

Fun for Youth from 19 Barangays

More than 650 youth, along with their parents, attended the State of the Children’s Address, which was held for youth from 19 barangays. Due to the large number of participants, the program lasted until the afternoon.

Abundant Offerings and Programs

The highlights of the celebration were:

A performance by a champion magician, part of the “Iba’t Ibang Talento ng Pinoy” program

A dance by a Custom Jollibee performer who hails from Tacurong City

Opening of a well containing envelopes for mothers of daycare and elementary schools

Distribution of food packs

Raffles for residents

This brought great joy to the youth and their families.

MATYAKAP Government: Wholehearted Service

The success of the activity is rooted in the “MATYAKAP Government” program, which began during the time of former Municipal Mayor Hon. Datu Bimbo Pendatun Ali and is now being continued by Mayor Mielyn D. Ali, the wife of the former mayor.

The word MATYAKAP means “wholehearted service”, a symbol of a government that is always ready to sympathize and help its citizens even at night and even at the mayor’s own home.
