“I got pregnant nine years ago while dating my current husband and then the issue of marriage came up.

I wasn’t working then. He told my family and I that he doesn’t want a court marriage for no reason.

My parents tried talking to him, I cried and begged him severally to legalize his marriage with me but he stood his grounds not to wed me in a court.

I involved his family members to help me beg him but they said, he’s old enough to make his decisions.

He even refused to do a white wedding either because my church requested for a court certificate, so we ended up doing only traditional marriage.

I later got tired and gave up on the matter. I was hurt and broken but I resolved to marry him like that just to save myself and my family the shame of having a baby outside wedlock.

My dad was angry and disappointed in him but he didn’t care and because of that my dad vowed to see me a successful and independent woman with or without him.

After I gave birth to my baby, my dad helped me secure a job with a
multinational company and things started to turn around for me.

I could now take care of myself and secure a future.

Though I married my husband but I never forgave him from my heart and it made me not to do anything in my husband’s name.

We currently have three kids together but all my properties are in the name of my children. I never used him as my next of kin either.

Just last month my company decided to transfer me to a branch in Texas and the company is willing to pay for my entire family to relocate with me.

My husband’s business is not doing too well and he’s willing to relocate also but we have no legal certificate to show that we are married.

Now he wants us to go to the court to legalize our marriage and I have said “No”

My dad has threatened to disown me if I ever go with him to court.

He’s been tagging me everywhere as a bad wife who is not loyal to her husband, spoiling my family also.

His family members have been calling me trying to persuade me but I told them I’m old enough to make my decisions also and I have stood my ground just like he did to me nine years ago.”

Good morning

I am a man aged 30 dating a girl aged 28 . my girlfriend is working and she earns 70000 per month and i am not working.

At the beginning of the relationship we used to share her salary half to half and everything was flowing well. Problems started 3months ago when she started telling me that she was not paid . The other time she said she was paid half pay. She did not give me any single money for the past 3 months to the extend that i am now in serious rental arrears where I am staying.

Sometimes I even want to go to ask her employer if it is true but I thought maybe I am rushing too much. My question is- could it be true or this girl have found another man? Should i continue with this kind of relationship or not? please advice me before i quit this relationship.

I'm a lady aged 25, just got married a year ago with one child. I'm haunted with the secret I have kept for a friend who just got married. We have been friends for a long time, she is my best friend. We tell each other everything and she confided in me what she did some few days before her wedding. She had two men in her life, she believed in what she called insurance. She was disappointed before and she was devastated. When she recoverd, she vowed to have at least two men in her life so that when one disappoints her she has another to fall back on. Between the two men, one of them proposed to her. He was charged paid 3 quarters of the money and wedding arrangements started. I advised her to do away with the other guy. She decided to go to his house to face him and break up with him. She ended up sleeping with him, the following day she slept with the now husband. She is now pregnant and she just told me she is not sure who is responsible between her husband and the other man. She told me she will never mention this to her husband no matter what. I feel guilty, what if the husband is not not the father? Should I just keep it to myself?

Good day everyone, Pls I need ur advice coz am confused on wat to do. So I have been dating my bf for more than 3years now, he’s a very caring & loving guy in he’s 30s while am in my 20s and he’s very serious about us getting married but d issue is dat he is financially unstable. Let me know if am wrong or right.a week after my wedding l, my hubby sat me down and told me, from now on we will share everything equally ( bills, food, future kids fees
I was speechless because my dad never did such, my mum only help when the money he give her is not enough or his out of job.
So we shara everything. His dad came for visit and told him that isn’t how to go about it and that wives. are there to help when the hubby can’t provide or they add up to what their hubby gives. He didn’t take the advice.
I had my shop before I married him. Even when I don't have he will be upset and be on my neck to pay .
There was an empty shop next to mine and I wanted to add it to my shop, that time he was doing so well in his business, I asked him to help me out he refused all I saw and heard was he bought a car for his sis.
So my (3) brothers who based outside with their wives were the ones who helped me to rent the shop and filled it up.
His sis hubby introduced him to some business honestly when he told me I told him not too but he went ahead to and it was all lies. He lost his money and also loan from the bank. He sold his car .
this month I asked him to pay for his part of ( 50/50) and he told me he doesn’t have any money not even coin to give. And that I should pay it all when he get back on his feet he will pay me back .
And I told him no way he should bring his part.
As am talking to you know food no water the prepaid is off. He so upset and telling me what is the use of me if I can’t help him in time of hardship .
Am very cheerful giver very kind, but what he did to me has turn me to what his seeing now .
Am I wrong for insisting he pay his part or acting the way am acting .
