Fausto Zadra International Piano Competition.

CLAMAT - Club Amici della Musica, Rotary Club of Abano Montegrotto Terme, Grand Hotel Abano Ritz and World Piano Teachers Association Italy are proud to present the 11th International Piano Competition FAUSTO ZADRA - Città di Abano Terme Junior Edition

Registration is open for the 11th edition of the International Piano Competition "Junior Edition" dedicate to young pianists. Age limite 23 years old. Three categories.

You have time until 12 February 2023 to applicate for the online pre-selection.
By 18th February the Competition Committee will comunicate the list of the finalists. Final round will be held in live on 3th and 4th March 2023 in Abano Terme (Italy).

The Competition will be closed with the award ceremony and the gala concert of the winners on 4th March 2023 at 21.00.
Young pianists from all over the world are welcome!!

ANFISA BOBYLOVA (Ukraine)
1st Prize Winner 10th International Piano Competition FAUSTO ZADRA.

Anfisa Bobylova is Ukrainian pianist, born in 1992. She studied with Tetiana Alexandrova and Yuriy Kot in Lviv and Kyiv and is currently continuing her studies with Libor Nováček at Graz University of the Arts.
She has won a number of prizes in international piano competitions in Ukraine, Italy, Austria, Spain and France.
She has won a number of prizes in international piano competitions in USA, Ukraine, Italy, Austria, Spain and France. In 2021 she will take part in XVIII Chopin Competition in Warsaw. She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many cities of Europe. Anfisa is a member of Lemberg Piano Trio and performs as duo with violinist Tetiana Lutsyk, winning prizes with both formations. Anfisa composes her own music. She is interested in historical performance and plays both the harpsichord and fortepiano. Since 2017 she is a member of Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now".

POLINA SASKO (Ukraine)
2nd Prize Winner 10th International Piano Competition FAUSTO ZADRA.

Polina Sasko was born on October 9, 1993 in Ukraine in a family of musicians. From the early age she knew that music was her vocation. In 2011 she graduated from the Lysenko Secondary Special Music School for gifted children in Kyiv. Later Polina studied at the Ukrainian National Music Academy. Currently, she is a student at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria in the class of Prof. Dr. Milana Chernyavska.
She was awarded the numerous prizes at the International Piano Competitions in Italy,Japan,Spain,Czech Republic,Serbia,Ukraine.
Besides the solo career, a chamber music also forms an important part of Polina’s musical life. Polina plays an extended solo and chamber repertoire which includes works from Baroque to the Contemporary period. She is highly interested in performing contemporary music. In 2013 she performed a premiere of a piano cycle "Retroludies" composed by Ukrainian composer Svyatoslav Lynyov. She performed recently written works by Gennady Sasko, Oleg Bezborodko, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Hao-Fu Zhang, Mykhaylo Stepanenko. Also, Polina has recorded piano works by Haydn, Beethoven and Rachmaninov for the Ukrainian National Radio.

DANBI HEO (South Korea)
3rd Prize Winner of the 10th International Piano Competition FAUSTO ZADRA

Danbi Heo is a Busan-born, South Korean pianist. She has previously studied at the Busan middle school of Arts and Hanyang University where she had been awarded a highest student award and scholarship. She began studying the piano at the age of five, entered her first competition at 9 and she had won a “Grand prize” among a group of first-prize winners from Dongseo competition in Korea. Danbi Heo has won many First Prizes including at Golden Classical Music Awards in New York which will give her a winner concert in Carnegie Hall in November 2020, Seoul National Symphony Orchestra Competition and Han-eum Music Competitions, Korean Brahms Association and Seoul Piastra Competition, and Second Prize at the Music Education News Concours and Universal Music Competition and Third Prize in Seoul Music Competition and Tool Music Competition.
Also, she has performed solo recitals in venues such as St James Piccadilly and St Paul’s church in London as a representative pianist of Royal College of Music and had participated in the concert by the name of “2017 Rising Star of the Year” at Youngsan Art Hall. Her performances have taken place across South Korea, China, USA, Italy, Spain, Austria, Great Britain and Germany.
Alongside the listed musical performances, she had finished her Master degree and has currently begun to study her Artist Diploma as a scholar student under Norma Fisher at the Royal College of Music in London.

ANNOUNCEMENT !!

We publish the list of participants at the 10th International Piano Competition FAUSTO ZADRA.
Eliminatory Round will be held on 10th and 11th September 2020.
Final Round on 12th September 2020.
All round will be played in live at the presence of the jury in the wonderful "Mirrors Hall" of the Abano Ritz Hotel always in the full compliance of the obligatory rules in relation to the epidemic.
!!! All participants from abroad are resident in EU countries.
Competition organization unfortunately couldn't accept applications from those competitors living in countries subject to quarantine restrictions in case of arrival in Italy. We apologize with all of them but Competition Organization is obliged to apply the rules dictated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign in the DPCM_20200807.
