Schloss Nordkirchen, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany 🇩🇪

Nordkirchen castle is directly compared to the Palace of Versailles.

It was built between 1703 and 1734 and is located in Germany's North Rhine Westphalia region.

Nordkirchen Palace has a very distinctive baroque architecture with some stunning stucco work, ceiling frescoes and wood carvings.

This Palace and it’s gardens were designed by Johann Conrad Schlaun.

The Schlossgarten or the Palace Gardens are a sight to behold.

The current gardens were designed in the 18th century by Prince-Bishop Friedrich Christian von Münster of the Plettenberg-Lenhausen dynasty.

Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India 🇮🇳

I had the opportunity to visit this incredible wooden Palace in January, 2020.

The construction of this palace began in 1718 AD during the reign of Hyder Ali. It took them 10 years to build it and was completed under the reign of Tipu Sultan. Hence the name.

This is the Santa Maria del Fiore or the Florence Cathedral. 🇮🇹

The dome of this cathedral was designed by a famous Renaissance ‘architect’ Brunelleschi.

Apparently he travelled to Rome, studied the Roman architecture there (the knowledge Of Roman architecture was lost in the dark ages). He then took notes in a special coded language & built this dome! It was revolutionary
