ZINGTAI MANSINGLA FILM's CO

The residents of Mapao Zingsho village, earlier Mapao Keitheilmanbi, of Senapati district have always been ardent lover of the Arts and Music, especially films and dramas. But in those times, the company was named as 8 Starclub, as it was established by an organisation comprising of eight members. It has to entertain people, mostly those in Tangkh

ul inhabited areas by performing live dramas and music as the video film industry and the music recording studios were not fully developed by then. With time, there started to have a few music recording studios in Manipur gradually. Joining the wave of a vibrant music scene in the state, this club released a Tangkhul audio cassette in the year 1985 and also changed its name from 8 Starclub to "Zingtai Mansingla Film Company". Soon followed the wave of video film industry in Manipur , and here too, the organisation also joined by producing a Tangkhul video feature film titled "kateoa Kaphungli Kahaka Tuishot". This was indeed and landmark and historical accomplishment in the Tangkhul entertainment history. This film became very popular and perhaps in this manner, Zingtai Mansingla Film Co. succeeded in presenting the first ever film to the Tangkhul community. Slowly, Tangkhul films were started producing in other Tangkhul areas. The important persons, who were integral in making the first ever Tangkhul audio album a reality, were:
1. Assurance - Male singer
2. Rinsophi - Female singer
3. Renewal - Producer

And those who took part actively in the first ever Tangkhul video of Zingtai Mansingla Film Co entitled "Kateoa Kaphungli Kahakka Tuishok" and who were key in the founding of the company:
1. Assurance - Actor
2. Nelly Muivah - Actress
3. Welson - Comedian
4. YL. Shanti - Supporting actress
5. K. Ramshivam - Comedian
6. R. Chance - Director
7. Zv. Renewal - Producer
8. Late. Ningchui - Villain
