In the past few days, I’ve battled unbearable pain—inside and out.
My Sensei Daisaku Ikeda’s words echo: “Enjoy what there is to enjoy, suffer what there is to suffer.” I remember being the only one he hugged when he visited India—a moment of magic.

लेकिन इस दर्द में, मैं बार-बार सोचता हूँ—जिनके साथ हम हंसते हैं, गाते हैं, रातें रंगीन करते हैं, जाम टकराते हैं, और ज़िंदगी के हर लम्हे को जश्न में बदल देते हैं—उनमें से कितने लोग हमारे टूटे हुए बिस्तर तक आते हैं?

How many of those who dance with you under neon lights, toast to endless nights, and promise “forever friends” would stand by your hospital bed? When the music stops, and the laughter fades, who really stays?

मेरी माँ ने अपनी आखिरी घड़ियां अकेले अपने कमरे में बिताईं—इन ठंडी दीवारों और अंतहीन हस्तक्षेपों के बीच कैद। यह ख्याल मुझे और मेरी बहन को हर रोज़ सताता है। मैंने हिम्मत करके सीसीटीवी फुटेज देखा—उन्हें दर्द में तड़पते देखा। वह रिकॉर्डिंग अब भी मेरे पास है, लेकिन दोबारा देखने की हिम्मत नहीं।

Water is life. So is calm.

Beat the drums this Holi—so loud that your deepest pain reaches God without a word.

And then, cry. Cry in gratitude for life. Cry for those who suffer in silence, needing only a hand, a voice, a little honesty. Can you be my voice if I am mute? Can you be kind when I am weak?

The pain you ignore will follow you until you finally listen. If you play God, nature will remind you—you are its child. Love will teach you beyond any religion. Keep faith, for one day, you may find yourself faithless and hollow.

इस होली, ढोल ऐसे बजाओ कि तुम्हारा सबसे गहरा दर्द बिना एक शब्द कहे भगवान तक पहुंच जाए।

फिर आँसू बहने दो—कृतज्ञता में, जीवन के लिए। उन आत्माओं के लिए, जो चुपचाप पीड़ा सह रही हैं, जिन्हें बस एक हाथ, एक आवाज़, थोड़ा सा सच्चा साथ चाहिए। अगर मैं मौन रहूं, तो क्या तुम मेरी आवाज़ बनोगे? अगर मैं बिखर जाऊं, तो क्या तुम मुझे अपनी संवेदनाओं से थाम सकोगे?

Life pulls me back when I seek mindful silence. But one day, I will escape—the plan is already in motion.

Power and fame should bring grace, yet too often, they make people loud and hollow. Greatness is admirable, but goodness is rare. After all, even mannequins wear finery—it’s deeds that define us.
