In 1986, Era Films was born with a burning desire to raise awareness among common people of undivided Madhya Pradesh about education, health, social issues and their rights. To achieve this objective, Era Films collaborated with few of the people who understood professional video production at that time. The institute equipped itself with latest equipment available at that period. It was the first
organization to own U-matic camera, having its own indoor studio and post production facilities in undivided Madhya Pradesh. It emerged as the only organization with Beta Camcorder and Beta Editing Setup in Chhattisgarh. Standing strong for three decades, Era Films is regularly making documentaries, docu-dramas, tele-films, corporate films, T.V. spots (Audio and video) for Doordarshan, government departments and private sectors. Infrastructure:
*Editing Suite: Era Films has a fully equipped editing studio with Final Cut Pro suit along with an Adobe Premiere Pro suit.
*Recording And Dubbing Studio: This is a fully equipped acoustic room with Nuendo setup. All major albums and films tracks in Chhattisgarh are recorded in our studio.
*Chroma Setup: 1000 sq. hall with chroma setup.
*Efficient Technical Team: From script writer to DOP, production manager, director and editor, Era Films has a strong technical team. Each person has a sound experience of working in all fields of electronic media.
*Film Equipment Rental: We have a full fledged equipment rental department, enlisting:
• Cameras: Canon 7D, 550D, Sony VG10 , Black Magic with prime lenses.
• Rigs: With jimmy jib, crane, track trolley for interior and exterior.
• Lights: latest LED lights along with tens, twenties, solar and HMIs.
• Power: Kirloskar 64KV soundless generator. Electronic Media: For 28 years, we have been sole and only service provider to the Department of Public Relation for Government of Chhattisgarh and MP. We cover every official activity of honorable Governor, respected Chief Minister, major ministers and distribute the news to media channels. We are working with all major satellite news channels like Aaj Tak, Sahara Samay, Star News, Live India, IBC24, ETV, Sadhna, Zee Chhattisgarh, P7. Documentary Production: Era Films has produced more than hundred documentary Films. To name just a few:
• Jadu ki Aur - Based on herbals of Madhya Pradesh, made for Doordarshan Bhopal.
• Jalkari Bai - On a friend of Rani Laxmibai of Jhanshi, made for film division of India.
• Kalagarh - Made for film division of India on first musical University of Asia.
• Tal Pashan – A docu-drama on the oldest theatre of the world, made for Doordarshan.
• Sahi Kadam – Based on total SANITATION. (Sampurna Swachta Abhiyan).
• What is Reality - Made for International film festival, anchored by Tom Alter.
• Nava Bihan – Produced in 3 languages – for Indian Farmer fertilizers co-operative limited (IFFCO).
• Jara Dekh ke – Based on industrial securities in India, made for ACC cement Jamul (awarded for best documentary film). TV shows : Era Films has produced many non-fiction TV Shows. To name a few:
• Aashta - Based on the story of a handicap man (nominated for AWAII award).
• Nava Sikh - Based on social problem of village (Doordarshan).
• Sahi Disha – A program on rural development (Central government Scheme).
• Paijaniyaa - A DD Bharti show on cultural activities of India.
• Bahurang - A song based program that holds records for being telecast for last 10 years on Doordarshan.

• Bhor ke tara . Regional Film Production : Era Films ventured into film production in 2001. Since then we have produced three films.
• Jai Bamleshwari Maiyaa - This film has been nominated in MOMI Awards organized by central government and also nominated in Filmfare awards organized by Government of Chhattisgarh.
• Bandhana (2006).
• Ajab Zinagi Gajab Zinagi (2011) (Co-produced). CFI: Era Film is running an institute named Chhollywood Film institute that teaches film direction, acting, script writing, and film production. The superstar director Mr. Satish Jain and the superstar actor Mr. Karan Khan of Chhattisgarh film industry are other two co-founders of this institute.
