On Thursday, the government approved the retroactive procurement of 38 Tactical Intervention Vehicles for the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) stationed in Jammu & Kashmir.

These vehicles were acquired for Rs 17.77 crore, amounting to approximately Rs 46.76 lakh per vehicle, under the “Convoy and Road Opening Party (RoP) Protection” Security Related Expenditure (SRE). This approval was granted by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, for the CRPF deployment in J&K, as per sanction letter No 1712/4/2019-K. II(i) dated March 12, 2020.

Qazigund saw a minimum of 3.4°C compared to the previous night’s 2.2°C, registering a 4.4°C higher than the average temperature for this gateway town of Kashmir.

Pahalgam experienced a low of minus 0.4°C compared to the previous night’s 0.5°C, which was 2.9°C higher than the typical temperature for this renowned resort in south Kashmir.

In Kokernag, also situated in south Kashmir, the temperature hit a low of 2.2°C from the previous night’s 2.0°C, showing an increase of 2.8°C above the normal temperature for the area.

Kupwara, a town in north Kashmir, recorded a low of 2.3°C as opposed to the previous night’s 2.6°C, indicating a rise of 3.7°C above the regular temperature there.
