His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, honored 34 winners of the Foreign Minister’s Excellence Award in its fifth session, during the honoring ceremony held yesterday evening, at the Ministry’s General Office in Abu Dhabi.
The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Her Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State, Her Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, Her Excellency Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, and owners of... His Excellency the Assistants to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Undersecretary, the Assistant Undersecretaries, and the directors of the relevant departments, centers and offices in the Ministry, in addition to a number of foreign missions accredited to the UAE.
18 foreign missions accredited to the state, and 9 departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs won the main category of the award, and 7 employees of the Ministry won the medals category after they effectively contributed to achieving the vision and goals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in excellence and leadership by promoting a culture of innovation and flexibility, anticipating the future, and developing... A sense of initiative and responsibility in all areas of work in the ministry.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed on this occasion: “Institutional excellence is not just a goal that we seek to achieve, but rather a sustainable strategic approach that reflects our vision to build a bright future based on efficiency and creativity, and embodies the vision of the UAE to achieve the highest standards of excellence and innovation in all areas of work.” governmental and diplomatic.
His Highness congratulated all the winners, praising their pioneering initiatives, creative ideas, and commitment to excellence and innovation in their work. His Highness also appreciated the efforts of the award jury members.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Director of the Strategy and Future Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: “We celebrate the achievements of our colleagues who have proven, with their dedication and creativity, that what can be achieved has no limits when we work in a team spirit and keep in mind the goal of excellence.”
He added: “Honoring them today is not only an appreciation for their efforts, but it is also an invitation to everyone to continue striving towards excellence and innovation. We are certain that every individual in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the ability to achieve great achievements, and that every step towards excellence brings us closer to achieving our strategic goals.” ".
During the ceremony, 18 foreign missions accredited to the UAE were honored in the main category, which were distinguished by their cooperation with the Ministry in achieving the desired goals, which are the Embassy of the Republic of Yemen, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Embassy of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey. Republic of India, Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Embassy of the People's Republic of China, Embassy of the Republic of Ireland, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Embassy of the Republic of Italy, Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Consulate General of the Republic of India, Consulate General of the United States of America, Consulate General of the Republic of China People's Republic, the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa, and the Embassy of the United States of America.
9 winners were also honored from the departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the main category, which is the distinguished administration in the political and specialized field, which was won by the Arab Affairs Department, the distinguished administration in the support services sector, which was won by the Engineering Projects and Facilities Department, and the distinguished administration in the field of service provision, which was won. It includes the Department of Citizens’ Affairs, the distinguished administration in improving the quality of life, which was won by the Citizens’ Affairs Administration, the distinguished administration in readiness for the future, which was won by the Security Affairs Department, the distinguished administration in strategic direction and competitiveness, which was won by the Consular Services Department, and the distinguished administration in resources and property, which won. It includes the Department of Engineering Projects and Facilities, the Distinguished Department in Data and Knowledge Management, which was won by the Department of Economic and Commercial Affairs, and the Distinguished Department in Partnership and Integration, which was won by the Department of Development and International Cooperation.
As for the categories of medals, 7 distinguished employees were honored: His Excellency Rashid Nazr Rahma, Director of the Consular Services Department, for the Outstanding Supervisory “Department Manager Category,” Fatima Mohammed Al Harithi - Strategy and Future Department, for the Outstanding Supervisory “Department Heads Category,” and Jawaher Abdullah Al Habsi - Management. Asian and Pacific Affairs for the distinguished diplomatic employee, Kamal Muhammad Nofal - Digital Transformation Department for the distinguished specialized employee, Obaid Ahmed Al Dhanhani - Policy Planning Department for the distinguished young employee, Moza Ahmed Al Ali - Contact Center for the distinguished customer happiness employee - Call Center, and Asma Jassim Al Ali - Consular Services Department about the distinguished customer happiness employee - service delivery employees.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Excellence Award was launched in 2014 to be among the excellence awards applied internally in ministries at the federal and regional levels. This award is the driving force for developing the ministry’s institutional and functional performance and enabling it to provide distinguished services to all its clients and beneficiaries of its services.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Award for Excellence contributes to creating a real qualitative shift in the performance, concepts, practices and administrative methods applied in the Ministry, by applying the standards of institutional and functional excellence within all categories of the award, and benefiting from them in the processes of continuous improvement of the Ministry’s work performance.
The winners of this award will serve as a basis for competition in the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Excellence in Government Performance within the Sheikh Khalifa Government Excellence Programme
