Today, two major books : Nazki - The poet from Kashmir( A tribute to Mir Ghulam Rasool Nazki) compiled by Ayaz Rasool Nazki and edited by Vinita Agrawal and the book of urdu Nazms-Jamawar by Ayaz Rasool Nazki were launched at Hotel shahenshah. Both the books have been published by Ink Links Publishing House Pampore Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion Khalid Hussain, Rafiq Raz, Naseem Shifaie and Farooq Nazki paid rich tributes to the Bard. Ayaz Rasool Nazki introduced the books to the audience. The program was attended by noted literary figures from the landscape of Kashmir. They included justice Bilal Nazki, Bashir Dada, Nazir Azad, Shahnaz Rasheed, Dr Ab Wahid, Dr Rafiq Masudi, Dr Iqbal Nazki and Naeem Akhtar.

Dr.Mudasir Ahmad is a modern voice and an evolving poet of heavenly Kashmir of today’s era. He made a distinguishable place in language and expression. He is a prominent self-speaking poet whose verses echo the feelings of a common man. Kashmir is a land of great, conscious and dignified personalities.
Dr.Mudasir is deeply connected with Kashmir through religion, mind, literature and culture. He made felt his existence through his pen. I can claim with all humility that Kashmir will recognise his writing and offer a greater status.
His poetic collection has laid the strong foundation in “ Screaming Silence”. His poetry reflects the challenges of the era and the problems of individual and collective life and this ray of light is still continued. He had portrayed the deep concerns of everyday life issues to a larger extent. Dr.Mudasir continued his creative journey through his inherent talent. His poetic collection deserves a reading by the academic fraternity. He has a lot to offer, a relief to the lover through his verses, a thought to the idle mind and no doubt a recollection of memories to the unrequited love. Dr.Mudasir provides a new dimensions in his poetry. We see a combination of thought and intellect to his verses and enriches the poetry to the next level. The glimpses can be seen in following lines,

Words and silence
Meaning not confirmed
Sense uncomprehended
Metaphors useless
Images futile

He communicats the pain with the reader through a number of poems. His poetry shows the image and construction of life. Dr Gori explained “the life” through these lines:

Life

The explanation of life
The twinges of death
Halt the course of living
The wounds are stiched
Soul is shrouded
Shrunken, dilapidated

The book overall deserves a 4 to 5 star as the poems are short and can be completeled in just one reading, the title is apt as the poems appear to be silent but make the reader scream. The cover page and quality of the paper is far from satisfactory. I would recommend this book to all the poetry lovers and those who are fond of reading poetry for their passion. I can with all humility claim it is going to be worth your money and you will certainly enjoy the reading. Dr Mudasir improved his rank in short time, beside this Dr. Mudasir is an academic writer, and a columnist who continues to contribute in large number of daily locals newspapers.
