পান্নালাল ভট্টাচার্য্যের শ্যামা সঙ্গীত ছোটবেলা থেকেই মনকে, চোখকে ভাসাতো। সবকটাই। তার মধ্যে একটা ছিলো,
"আমি মন্ত্রতন্ত্র কিছুই জানিনে মা,
শুধু যা জেনেছি সেটুকু লয়েই
তোরে ডাকার মতো ডাকতে যদি পারি,
তবে আসবিনে তোর এমন সাধ্য নেই।"
তেমন করেই বলতে চাই, আমি হিস্ট্রি, আর্কিওলজি, মিউজিওলজি কিছুই জানিনা। শুধু জানি আমার চন্দ্রকেতুগড়, আমার দীনবন্ধু মিত্রের বাড়ি, আমার ইছাপুরের রাধাগোবিন্দ মন্দির, আমার হাড়োয়ার লাল মসজিদ, যেগুলো আজ ধ্বংসের পথে, যেগুলো একটু ভালোবাসার রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের ছোঁয়া পেলে আরও কিছু বছর টিকে যাবে সেগুলো সম্মন্ধে মানুষকে জানানো, মানুষের মাধ্যমে সরকারকে, যে বা যাঁরা উদ্যোগ নিতে পারেন, তাঁদের কাছে আর কানে পৌঁছানোর চেষ্টা করা। সেই সঙ্গে একেবারে সাধারণ মানুষ, ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উদ্বুদ্ধ করা ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্য সংরক্ষণে। কতটা সফল হলাম বা ব্যর্থ হলাম সেটা নিয়ে খুব ভাবিত নই। আন্তরিকতা দিয়ে, সর্বশক্তি দিয়ে চেষ্টা করেছি কিনা সেটাই বড়ো কথা। তার মধ্যে মাঝে মাঝে দু একটি অনুপ্রেরণামূলক বাক্য হয়তো একটু উজ্জীবিত করে। যখন একটু আধটু হতাশা আসে, তখন এ কথাগুলো একবার পড়লে মনে হয়, হাল ছাড়ার সময় নেই। এগোতেই হবে।
গতকাল খড়্গপুর আইআইটির দুজন প্রাক্তনী গেছিলেন চন্দ্রকেতুগড়ে। ফেরার সময় ছুঁয়ে যান বাড়ি থেকে। সকালবেলায় ঘুম থেকে ওঠার পরেই হোয়াটসঅ্যাপে পেলাম এই দীর্ঘ বার্তা। শেয়ার করলাম আপনার সঙ্গে। ভালো থাকুন সবাই।
We just went out for a joy ride; but eventually it turned out to be a high value cultural session; I know without true passion such knowledge cannot be acquired and such love for these historical sights cannot be shown; we were just two unknow people to you looking for the historical information behind these two sights; you gladly agreed to spend 30 minutes as I understand from Arindam; By the time we realised that we have possibly taken much time of yours it was already three hours passed without realising that we have possibly spoiled your whole evening; Story that we heard was intense; the artefact pictures that we had seen were extra ordinary; frankly speaking I never knew history of these areas are so rich; I certainly think that West Bengal govt does something to make this area a tourist spot of historical importance and promote the same; without you and your heartful articulation of historical importance of these places I would have remained ignorant about same; I do not like to belittle you just by giving thank you; rather in future I like to take you along and be with you to roam around these places and gather more information about them; oh! yes big thanks to Mrs Dey for a nice cup of tea and glass of water that was so needed in the midst of a very absorbing conversation; I am an optimistic person and I am quite confident that your work and effort will not go waste; I wish your dream comes true one day; I would request that you please write the story you have narrated to us; These places must carry a rich story to signify their exsistance;
