It was established in the year 2000 and currently houses eight centrally air conditioned and fully furnished sets. Studio owns five empty floors out of which, four are located in Sakinaka itself, and one in Khopoli, Raigad District. Specification of the set-ups:
• Three well furnished Bungalows called American Bungalow, Royal Maharaja Bungalow and Imaan Bungalow. American Bungalow is an ultra-mode
rn set up (hyperlink image); Royal Maharaja Bunglow gives a conventional feel (hyperlink image), lastly, the Imaan bungalow, which is a neutral setup also equipped with a spacious bathroom and a whirlpool bath.
• Two well-designed hospitals named King Hospital (hyperlink image) and Imaan Hospital (hyperlink image), each with a general ward and an ICU. Operation theatre (hyperlink image) is available only in King Hospital.
• A corporate office named Imaan Office (hyperlink image), which accommodates a conference room (hyperlink image), senior officer’s cabin (hyperlink image) and two regular office cabins.
• A police station, which has 5 jail cells (hyperlink image) and a Commissioners Office (hyperlink image).
• S.J. Studio also owns a high end, centrally air conditioned cafe, named Bollywood Cafe (hyperlink image) with free Wi-Fi connectivity where you can eat, relax or brainstorm and also shoot. Studio provides 45 comfortable and air-conditioned make-up rooms (hyperlink image) and 7 luxurious make-up suites (hyperlink image) for V.I.P. celebrities, each having have access to dth TV connections. We have special facilities for artists and production heads, like the S.J. Gym, on call facilities for food and beverages and room dining. We have another Cafe, named S.J. Cafe, which is a clean, cost effective eating joint for all. The Sakinaka premises also includes 4 sound proof and centrally air conditioned empty floors, two of 100x70x45 (7000 sq. ft.), one of 100x100x25 (10,000 sq. and the fourth is 60x25x25 (1500 sq. ft.), each with control rooms and dress rooms. Studios also owns an empty floor in Khopoli of size 150x85x35, which is sound proof and centrally air conditioned. The khopoli studio is equipped with 10 make-up rooms and staying facility for crew. There is 12000 sq. open area for shooting and a spacious parking area and a power supply of 650 kwt. Studio was dream project of Mr. Siraj Jafferali Hamid, hence the name, S.J. in appreciation of his lifework towards this studio. Currently the studio functions under the Directors, Mr. Nazim Hamid and Mr. Sahir Hamid, the sons of Mr. Siraj J. Hamid.
