A year on, Saisha Hayes, now 22 — who has roots in Bihar — became the youngest singer-songwriter of the UK to be featured in BBC Radio. Saisha Hayes, a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Bihar, has become the youngest UK artist to be featured on BBC Radio. Her song, 'One Way Ticket', was played on the station and selected in the Best Modern Asian Music category. Saisha, who has roots in Bihar and a Bihari mother, has also made it to the BBC Music Fusion top 10. She has recorded two albums, with her latest one titled 'Prozac's Poster Child' exploring various themes including intimacy, mental health, and pollution. Saisha is also involved in charity work, helping cancer patients regain their voices through a speaking aid.
Also the granddaughter of renowned Hindi littérateur and former IAS officer from Bihar, late Bhagwati Sharan Mishra, Saisha recorded her second album — ‘Prozac’s Poster Child’, which has 11 songs — in October 2022. Saisha, who has done her graduation in political science from the prestigious King’s College, London, also aims to be a civil servant like her father and maternal grandfather.
