The Gandhi Media Foundation, incorporating the Gandhi Media Center, established in 1997 under the general guidance of the Quit India heroine and Gandhian scholar Dr Usha Mehta; former Governor and Gandhian leader Sadiq Ali, and P N Haksar, distinguished scholar-statesman and founded byGandhian scholars and activists Dr.N.Radhakrishnan and N.Vasudevan, seeks to promote a culture of peace and harm

ony in line with the world vision of Gandhi. It is an effort to effectively use the infinite power of media for social change and individual transformation by reinterpreting Gandhi in the context of the emerging socio-political scenario. The GMFalso strives to encourage the citizens to look at social change through Gandhi’s eyes. It is envisaged as a data-bank and umbrella media initiative of all shades of Gandhian initiatives and organisations in and outside India to project the Revolutionary Gandhi who was miles ahead of most of his contemporaries.

KP. Kesava Menon literally sounded the bugle of the nonviolent resistance against the dreaded social segregation as manisted in the inhuman ban of the depressed segments if Indian population to walk along the publlic roads around the Vaikam Mahadevar Temple in central Kerala.
The Vaikyam Satyagraha as the resistance to root out this evil (untouchability) is known now was a decisive public assertion under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Kerala Gandhi Smarak Nidhi will observe the centenary of this historic nonviolent resistance with yearlong programmes.
We invite you all to the 'vilambara'( the heralding announcement) of the various events at a simple meet of the participating organisations and individuals at 3 pm on 28 Feb. at Gandhibhavan, Trivandrum. Please join to.bless us and lead.
