Disallowance of Palestine Resolution Unfortunate, Says MLA Ajaz Jan

Jan Also Raises Flood Victims’ Issues in Assembly & Thanks CM Omar Abdullah for Prompt Flood Response

Srinagar: Today in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, MLA Poonch Ajaz Ahmed Jan raised the issue of Palestine, expressing deep concern over the continued killing of innocent civilians, including children, in the region. He urged the Hon’ble Speaker that his resolution on humanitarian aid, peace, and reconciliation in Palestine should not be stopped. Jan said that the disallowance of resolutions on Palestine is highly unfortunate and goes against the spirit of global peace and justice.

He further added that every Muslim, along with people of all communities and religions across the world, prays for the people of Palestine, and emphasized that humanitarian assistance must immediately reach the affected population.

During the session, Ajaz Ahmed Jan also raised the issue of flood-affected victims of the Poonch Haveli and Mendhar Kalaban areas. He requested that MLAs be granted a one-time relaxation of ₹1 crore in the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to enable them to provide effective assistance to the affected people.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K, JB Omar Abdullah Sahib, for his immediate visit to flood-hit areas across Jammu and Kashmir, and for personally ensuring timely relief and rehabilitation measures for the affected families.

Ahsan Pardesi, MLA Lal Chowk, Expresses Gratitude to Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister

Hon’ble MLA Lal Chowk, Ahsan Pardesi, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary ji, for sanctioning the much-awaited Padshahi Bagh Road project.

Terming the road as one of pivotal importance, Ahsan Pardesi said that its development will greatly enhance connectivity and benefit residents of the entire area.

Pertinent to mention Hon'ble Dy CM and MLA Lal chowk visited the road and hon'ble Dy CM gave on spot instructions to officials for revised DPR to make road more durable.

He further stated that under the dynamic leadership of Jinab Omar Abdullah, the government is deeply committed to the welfare and development of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring that long-pending public demands are being fulfilled with sincerity and dedication.
