‏حکمرانوں کی نوجوان کُش پالیسیوں سے یہاں کے نوجوان کو مایوسی کے بھنور میں دھکیلا جارہاہے اور یہاں کے نوجوانوں کو کہیں بھی روشنی کی کرن نظر نہیں آرہی ہے، ایسے میں ہماری ذمہ داری بنتی ہے کہ ہم ہر حال میں نوجوانوں کے مسائل اُجاگر کریں اور نئی پود کو بدعات کی طرف راغب ہونے سے روکنے کیلئے اپنا رول نبھائیں۔

ان باتوں کا اظہار نیشنل کانفرنس کے ترجمانِ اعلیٰ تنویر صادق نے آج پارٹی ہیڈکوارٹر پر تعلیم یافتہ نوجوانوں کے علاوہ یوتھ ونگ سے وابستہ عہدیداروں اور کارکنوں سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا۔ اس موقعے پر نائب صدر صوبہ احسان پردیسی، صوبائی یوتھ صدر سلمان علی ساگر اور دیگر عہدیداران بھی موجو دتھے۔

اس دوران جموں وکشمیر کو درپیش موجودہ سخت ترین چیلنجوں کے بارے میں تبالہ خیالات کیا اور اس ریکارڈ توڑ بے روزگاری کو سنگین بحران قرار دیا گیا۔

تنویر صادق نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ یہاں کانوجوان اس وقت ذہنی پریشانیوں میں مبتلا ہے اور ایسی صورتحال بہت سارے نوجوانوں کو منشیات اور دیگر بُرے کاموں کی طرف دھکیل رہی ہے۔ گذشتہ 5سال سے حکمرانوں کی طرف سے نوجوانوں کو لیکر جو بلند بانگ اعلانات کئے جارہے ہیں وہ صرف زبانی جمع ہی خرچ ثابت ہوئے ہیں جبکہ زمینی سطح پر کشمیر میں نوجوان کُش پالیسی اختیار کر رکھی گئی ہے۔گذشتہ برسوں سے جاری غیر یقینیت اور بے چینی سے یہاں کا نوجوان بری طرح متاثر ہوا ہے اور ہماری نئی پود اس وقت خود کو مایوسی اور نااُمیدی کے بھنور میں پا رہی ہے ۔ اس رجحان کا تدارک کرنے کیلئے ایک وسیع منصوبے کی ضرورت ہے ، جس میں ہر ایک کو اپنا رول نبھانا ادا کرنا ہوگا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ نیشنل کانفرنس کو بھی اس سلسلے میں اپنی ذمہ داری نبھانی ہوگی اور مجھے اُمید ہے کہ یوتھ نیشنل کانفرنس سے وابستہ لیڈران، عہدیداران اور کارکنان اس کام میں پیچھے نہیں رہیں گے۔

تنویر نے نوجوانوں پر زور دیا کہ وہ منشیات اور دیگر سماجی بدعات کی روک تھام میںاپنا رول نبھائیں اور ساتھ ہی نیشنل کانفرنس کے نیا کشمیر منشور اور سنہری تاریخ سے لوگوں کو آگاہ کریں اور پارٹی کی مضبوطی کیلئے تن دہی سے کام کریں۔

نیشنل کانفرنس نے جموں وکشمیر کے تینوں خطوں کے عوام کی خوشحالی، فارغ البالی ، خود اعتمادی اور خدا اعتماد کیلئے جو تاریخی اور انقلابی اقدامات کئے ہیں وہ تاریخ میں سنہری الفاظ میں درج ہیں۔ اُن کا کہنا تھا کہ زرعی اصلاحات کے تحت غریب عوام کو بغیر معاوضہ51لاکھ کنال اراضی کی منتقلی ہو، تعلیمی ڈھانچے کا قیام، مفت تعلیم، تعلیم نسواں، جمہوری ،آئینی اور انتظامی اداروں کا قیام اور پچھڑے ہوئے طبقوں کی زندگی بہتر بنانے کے علاوہ نیشنل کانفرنس کے ایسے اَن گنت کام کئے ہیں جو تاریخ میں سنہری حروف میں درج ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے شیر کشمیر شیخ محمد عبداللہ کی زندگی، سیاسی اور سماجی خدمات پر ایک کتابچہ کی اشاعت شروع کی ہے ، جس کا پہلا شمارہ اسی ماہ اجراءکیا گیا اور مستقبل میں بھی کی اس اشاعت جاری رہے گی۔

Govt least bothered to mitigate border dwellers’ problems: Rattan Lal

JAMMU, DEC 20: Senior National Conference leader, Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra while accusing the Lt Governor led Administration of not mitigating the problems of border dwellers has asserted that the incumbent Union Territory Administration has proved a total failure on all fronts.

He expressed this while addressing a party workers meeting at Village Kotli Mian Fareh in Miran Sahib area in Jammu South R.S Pura Constituency today.



The meeting was organized and Presided over by its Block President Balvinder Singh. Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and Mr Rattan Lal Gupta, NC Provincial President Jammu were also present.



During the meeting Naresh Bittu, District President Jammu Rural B apprised the senior functionaries about the hardships being faced by border dwellers.


Ajay Sadhotra said the incumbent UT Administration has been totally ignoring the people living in border areas. He said that it has failed to raise Border Battalion as promised and the result is that drug abuse continues to be on the rise due to unemployment among youth of these areas. Moreover, in these areas the border people in general are facing acute irrigation problems due to non availability of power and water supply. He added that the farmers having fields at the tail end are the worst sufferers in this regard due to non availability of water in their fields. The condition of roads in these areas is highly deplorable while as healthcare is no good too with ambulances nowhere visible on ground.

Sadhotra said that the condition of farmers in the border belt is quite pitiable due to non-availability of seeds and fertilizers despite repeated commitments made by the Govt. This has led to tension and frustration among the farmers with none in the administration to mitigate their woes.

Rattan Lal Gupta in his address on the occasion said that while border dwellers are the worst victims of the misgovernance by the UT Administration, the people on the whole across J&K are shrouded in miseries thrust upon them by the LG Administration being the proxy Govt of BJP. He said that the incumbent government has turned blind eye towards the problems being faced by the youth residing in border areas. He said that there are thousands of Govt. posts lying vacant today in various departments which need to be filled on fast track basis.

The senior NC leader said that despite raising people’s issues including those of the border dwellers before the concerned authorities from time to time but no steps have been taken by the present government in this regard. He asserted that NC is the only solution to end all the problems confronted by the people in Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar, 19 Dec: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of the Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah today paid glowing tributes to Kashyp Bandhu, veteran party leader and close confidant of Sher-e-Kashmir, on his 38th death anniversary.

In his message, Dr. Farooq said, “Bandhu ji was an epitome of loyalty, when Sheikh Sahib was dismissed and arrested in 1953. Kashyap Bandhu was also incarcerated and kept in Kathua Jail for a number of years. He did not join hands with the forces inimical to the unique and historical identity of J&K. His stellar services for Jammu & Kashmir, and its people will never be forgotten. On his 38th death anniversary I pay my humble tributes to this great son of the soil.”

In his message Omar said, “Remembering veteran NC leader, a rural development visionary and a close confidant of Sher-e-Kashmir Pandit Kashyp Bandhu ji on his 38th death anniversary. His distinguished and pioneering service in the field of politics, journalism and social service in Jammu and Kashmir will be remembered for the ages to come.”

BISHNAH, DEC 17: Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Women's Wing President, Shameema Firdous on Sunday asserted that women have a significant role to play in shaping the better and peaceful future of Jammu and Kashmir and as such women cannot be ignored in any way.

She expressed this while addressing the one day Women’s Convention of the party held at Village Deoli in Bishnah here today in which she was the Chief Guest.
The convention was organised by Bimla Luthra, State Vice President Women Wing JKNC in which Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Jammu presided over the function.

The senior NC Women leader stated that it is the determined, brave and motivated women in J&K who despite having been ignored and facing hardships under the incumbent dispensation continue to come forward to shoulder the critical responsibilities. She said that women are taking a lead in the movement for restoration of abridged rights of people of this region. She said that the present governance is marked by widening gender disparity in the region besides rising unemployment, development deficit and deepening uncertainty having affected everyone in the region. However, women are the worst sufferers amongst them as the prevailing political or social issues have had a devastating effect on their dignity and lives in J&K. Lauding the women for their marvelous role despite all odds, she urged them to continue their relentless fight for their rights.

Shameema said that along with the restoration of democracy, the struggle for the return of special privileges can be fought only when the National Conference is strong for which women have a crucial role to play. She asserted that National Conference is the sole guarantor of J&K's interests and for this it is necessary to remain present among the people, enquire about their problems and solving them.

Earlier, Bimla Luthra apprised the senior functionaries of the party about the problems being faced by the women folk and people residing in border areas.

Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Jammu, while accusing the Govt of total failure in J&K, has asserted that National Conference is the only solution to end the people’s miseries thrust upon them by the incumbent Govt.
Gupta said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have witnessed the worst form of governance under the incumbent Govt. He said that the BJP Govt at the Centre has brought anti-people policies that have virtually broken the backbone of the common people. He said that youth and women have become the worst sufferers during the present regime. He said that while the Govt makes tall claims about addressing the issues of youth, the fact remains that till date the Union Govt as well as the UT Administration have failed to address unemployment issue. Having become the worst victims of recruitment scams, the youth find themselves in quandary.
The senior NC leader also accused the incumbent UT Administration of totally ignoring on all fronts the people living in border areas. He said that the Govt failed to raise Border Battalion as promised and the result is that drug abuse continues to be on the rise due to unemployment among youth of these areas.

Asserting that there are thousands of posts lying vacant today, he urged the Govt to fill all the vacant posts on fast track basis. He said that NC is the only solution to end all the problems confronted by the people in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary JKNC in his address urged the women workers to highlight the niceties of NC governance in the past so that people vote in favour of the party whenever elections are held.

Vijay Lochan, Chairman SC Cell, JKNC said Govt has failed to fulfil its commitment to SC community till date and it needs to be shown the door at the earliest.

A meeting of the National Conference Students Union (NCSU) was held at the Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan in Jammu.

The meeting was organized by Harsh Vardhan Singh, President of the NCSU, and presided over by Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and former minister.

At the beginning of the meeting, Harsh Vardhan Singh apprised the senior functionary of the party about the rising drug menace in the Jammu region. He expressed concern about the easy availability of drugs and the devastating impact it is having on Students.

In his address, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra criticized the present government for its failure to tackle the rising drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the government has failed to take effective measures to control the supply of drugs and provide rehabilitation services to addicts.

Sadhotra emphasized the role of Students in building a better future for Jammu and Kashmir. He urged them to come forward and play a vital role in eradicating the drug menace. He said that the NCSU will work closely with the party leadership to address this critical issue.

Assuring the senior functionary of the Party, Harsh Vardhan Singh pledged that the NCSU will fully support and implement the initiatives outlined by the "War Against Drug Addiction" (WADA) committee, established by Party’s Vice President Omar Abdullah. He said NCSU will work alongside the WADA committee and other stakeholders to combat this critical issue.

JKNC Member Parliament South Kashmir Hasnain Masoodi today stressed in Lok Sabha that prolonged Presidential rule and absence of an elected government has results in huge governance deficit in Jammu and Kashmir.

The adverse impact of bureaucratic rule, Masoodi said is reflected in acute staff scarcity in government departments like Health and Family Welfare department.

The question of manpower crisis in geology and mining department was raised today in starred question for oral answer by Masoodi in the Parliament.

The Minister of Mines Shri Prahlad Joshi in his reply gave the details of vacancies, admitting that more than 50 pc posts in different categories were vacant in the department and efforts were being made to fill up the vacancies.

Masoodi pointed out that manpower crisis encourages illegal mining and unauthorised and unilateral increase or extension in the mining lease by the allottees, as reported in Khrew- Khonmoh area and sand mining in Jhelum river. He asked the Minister to ensure the allotted are was properly demarcated.

Masoodi also complained that the JK administration had failed to constitute Governing Council to administer Mineral Development Fund and huge amounts out of the Fund were spent unauthorisedly in violation of statutory rules and regardless of government directions. He demanded that governing council be constituted and the Fund administered.

Masoodi also demanded regularisation of Daily Rated Workers working in the Department and deployment of 51 Daily Rated Workers of JKCL to the Department like other JKCL workers already deployed to the Department.

Subject: Strong Rebuttal to Misrepresentation of Mr. Omar Abdullah's Statements

I am writing to express our strong condemnation of the recent articles published by certain news agencies, which purportedly quote former Chief Minister and Vice President of J&K National Conference, Mr. Omar Abdullah, asserting that the 1987 elections, not Article 370, incited violence in Kashmir.

The misrepresentation and fabrication in these reports are deeply troubling, fostering confusion and misleading the public.

Some news agencies, alongside other portals, irresponsibly disseminated this misleading information without due verification. This act is not only unethical but also poses a threat to the public's understanding of critical issues.

Reckless reporting not only erodes the credibility of news organizations but also contributes to the larger problem of misinformation in our society. It is distressing that some portals, driven by malicious intentions, have failed to uphold the ethical standards that responsible journalism demands.

In conclusion, I strongly advise all news agencies to enhance diligence in fact-checking and reporting to prevent the dissemination of misinformation, which erodes public trust in the media. Prompt corrective measures are urged to address this immediately.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah pay glowing tributes to Moulana Masoodi, Sofi Muhammad Akbar

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Tuesday paid glowing tributes to Maulana Masoodi on his death anniversary referring to him as an unforgettable character in Kashmir's political struggle against autocracy.

Dr. Farooq said that Masoodi sahib remained the General Secretary of the party for thirty long years and was endowed with many qualities and spiritual proclivity. “His contribution towards the socio political emancipation of Kashmir is immense. He was a rare politician who blended social service and simplicity with politics. He will be remembered for his uncorrupted disposition and farsightedness,” he said.

In his tribute to Molana Masudi, Omar Abdullah said, “A giant among the close associates of Sheikh Sahib, Masoodi Sahib is an unforgettable character in the history of Kashmir. His contribution towards strengthening the efforts of Sheikh Sahib in laying the foundations of modern J&K remain unparalleled. The need of the hour is to uphold and strengthen the idea of Jammu & Kashmir which was watered by such great men as Maulana Masoodi.”

Meanwhile Dr Farooq, Omar Abdullah also paid glowing tributes to Sofi Muhammad Akbar on his death anniversary. “Sofi sahib stood in the forefront protecting the interests of people against the machinations of those powers which were inimical to the state’s special status. He gave unbridled sacrifices for Kashmir and shall be remembered for his long term association with Sher-e-Kashmir,” they said.
