ବ୍ରହ୍ମଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତିର ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା

ଶିରିଡ଼ିର ସାଇବାବା ଜଣେ ପ୍ରଖ୍ୟାତ ସନ୍ଥ ଥିଲେ । ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଆଡ଼ର ଲୋକେ ତାଙ୍କ ଖ୍ୟାତି ଶୁଣି ଦର୍ଶନ ତଥା ପରାମର୍ଶ ଗ୍ରହଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆସୁଥାନ୍ତି । ଜଣେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଅଥଚ ମହାକୃପଣ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କ କାନରେ ବାବାଙ୍କ ଖ୍ୟାତି କଥା ବାଜିଲା । ନିଜର ସ୍ଥିତିକୁ ନେଇ ତାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅହଂକାର ଥିଲା । ଧନଧାନ୍ୟ, ଗୋପଲକ୍ଷ୍ମୀ ସବୁକିଛିର ଅଧୁକାରୀ ଧନୀବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ବ୍ରହ୍ମଜ୍ଞାନ ଲାଭ ଆଶାରେ ଏକ ଟାଙ୍ଗାରେ ଶିରିଡ଼ି ଅଭିମୁଖେ ଯାତ୍ରା କରିଥିଲେ । ମସଜିଦରେ ଅବସ୍ଥାନ କରୁଥିବା ବାବାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରି ନିଜ ଅଭିଳାଷ ପୋଷଣ କରି ବହୁଦୂରରୁ ଆସିଥିବାରୁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ବିଦା କରିଦେବା ପାଇଁ କହିଥିଲେ । ବାବା ଏହାଶୁଣି ବହୁତ ଖୁସି ହୋଇ କହିଥିଲେ- କିଛି ସମୟ ଅପେକ୍ଷା କର। ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ବ୍ରହ୍ମଜ୍ଞାନ ଦାନ କରିବି । ମୋ ପାଖକୁ ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଆସିଥାନ୍ତି ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରାୟତଃ ପାର୍ଥିବ ସମ୍ପଦ, ଧନସମ୍ପରି, ଯଶଖ୍ୟାତି, ପଦ ସ୍ଵାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ, ସମ୍ମାନ ଆଦି ଆଶାରେ ଆସିଥାନ୍ତି । କେହି ହେଲେ ପରମାତ୍ମାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ବନ୍ଧୀୟ ଅାଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ସଂପଦ (ବ୍ରହ୍ମଜ୍ଞାନ) ଲାଭ ଆଶାରେ ଆସି ନଥାନ୍ତି । ଯେହେତୁ ତୁମେ ପ୍ରଥମ କରି ଆସିଛି ତେଣୁ ତୁମ ଇଚ୍ଛା ଅବଶ୍ୟ ପୂରଣ କରାଯିବ ।''

ଏହା କହିସାରିବା ପରେ ବାବା ଜଣେ ପିଲାକୁ ଡାକି ଜନୈକ ଶେଠଙ୍କଠାରୁ ୫ଟଙ୍କା ଧାର ଆଣିବା ପାଇଁ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ । ବାବା ଭଲ ଭାବରେ ଜାଣିଥିଲେ ଯେ ଶେଠ ଘରେ ନାହାନ୍ତି । ପିଲାଟି ଫେରିଆସି ସେହି ଧନିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଘରେ ନଥିବା କହିଥିଲା । ଆଉଜଣକ ପାଖରୁ ଆଣିବାପାଇଁ ପଠାଇଥିଲେ ବି ଏଥର ମଧ୍ୟ ପିଲାଟି ଫେରି ଆସିଥିଲା ରିକ୍ତ ହସ୍ତରେ । ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଧନିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଜଣକ ବ୍ରହ୍ମଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତି ନିମନ୍ତେ ତରବର ହୋଇଥିଲେ। ବାବା ତାଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ କହିଥିଲେ- ତୁମେ ଜାଣିପାରିଲି ନାହିଁ ଏହି ଜ୍ଞାନଲାଭ ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମେ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ କି ନୁହେଁ, ସେ ନିମନ୍ତେ ମୁଁ କେଉଁ ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଅନୁସରଣ କଲି। ପ୍ରକୃତ କଥା ହେଉଛି ବାବା କାହାଠାରୁ ଧାର-ଉଧାର କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, କଲେ ଏହା ଶୁଝି ଦେଇଥାନ୍ତି । ଧନିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଉଦାର ହୋଇଥିଲେ ମାତ୍ର ୨ଟି ଟଙ୍କା ପାଇଁ ଜଣେ ପିଲା ବାବାଙ୍କ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶରେ ଏଣେତେଣେ ଧାର ଆଣିବାକୁ ଯାଇ ନିରାଶ ହୋଇ ଫେରି ବାରେ ନିଜେ ସ୍ବତସ୍ପୁର୍ତ ଦେଇପାରିଥାନ୍ତେ । ଆଗନ୍ତୁକଙ୍କ ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ କହିଥିଲେ ତୁମ ପାଖରେ ୫ଟଙ୍କାର ୫୦ଗୁଣ (୨୫୦ଟଙ୍କା) ବହୁ ଅଛି,ତାକୁ ବାହାର କରନ୍ତୁ । ଭଦ୍ରବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ଟଙ୍କା ବାହାର କରି ଗଣତି ପ୍ରକୃତରେ ସେତିକି ପରିମାଣରେ ଅର୍ଥ ଥିଲା । ଏଥିରୁ ସେ ବାବାଙ୍କର ସର୍ବଜ୍ଞାତା ବିଷୟରେ ଜାଣି ଆଶ୍ଚର୍ଯ୍ୟ ହୋଇଯାଇଥିଲେ। ତାଙ୍କର ଏତାଦୃଶ ଲୋଭୀ ପ୍ରକୃତି ଦେଖ୍ ବାବା କହିଥିଲେ ଧନସମ୍ପରି, ସନ୍ତାନସନ୍ତତି, ଯଶଖ୍ୟାତି, ସମୃଦ୍ଧି ପ୍ରତି ଆସକ୍ତି ତ୍ୟାଗ ନକଲେ ଜ୍ଞାନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତି ଅସମ୍ଭବ । ଆସକ୍ତି ଓ ଅଥିଲାଳସା ଭିତରେ ରହିଛି ଅହଂକାର ଓ ଦାମିକତାରୂପୀ ଶତ୍ର । ଚିତ୍ତଶୁଦ୍ଧି ନଥିଲେ ଅାଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତି ସାଧନା ବିଫଳ । କିଛି ଦେବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଅନ୍ତତଃ ପାତ୍ରର ଯୋଗ୍ୟତା ମୁଁ ଦେଖୁଥାଏ । ଏହି କ୍ରମରେ ସେ ଚିରଶୁଦ୍ଧି, ମୁମୁକ୍ଷା (ମୁକ୍ତିପାଇବାର ଇଚ୍ଛା), ନିର୍ଲିପ୍ତତା(ସଂସାରିକ ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁ ପ୍ରତି ଅନାସକ୍ତି), ମନ ଓ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରିୟ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ, ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ଆଚରଣ ଆଦି ଗୁରୁତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରସଙ୍ଗ ଉପରେ କହିଥିଲେ ଯାହା ଏହି ଜ୍ଞାନଲାଭର ସୋପାନ ଥିଲା । ଧନିକ ତଥା କୃପଣ ଜଣକ ବାବାଙ୍କ ଉପଦେଶର ମର୍ମ ବୁଝିପାରି ତାଙ୍କର ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରି ଫେରିଯାଇଥିଲେ ।

Baba gives me the diagnosis.

“It was Thursday 1984 as usual I went to my Clinic an hour before we started seeing patients. I had a photograph of Baba sitting in front of Dhuni Mai on my table; it was my habit to spend this time praying. I would beseech him to help me with every patient that I saw on that day. Suddenly there was a knock on my door and the nurse entered my office. She said, “I know I am not to disturb you at this time but I want you to see a 3 month old child that is quite sick and the child has labored respiration” As we walked to the examining room I asked her the usual questions, about diarrhea, vomiting fever and drug ingestion, she said “Negative’.

I examined the child and I could not find anything except dehydration and rapid breathing, I had no clue of the diagnosis, desperately I prayed to Baba. Then I heard him say loudly “Diabetic Ketoacidosis”. I was shocked, I turned around and said, “What Baba the child is only three months old” He repeated the diagnosis three times. I got the blood and urine tested. Within a few minutes

I got the results ‘blood glucose 350 and urine was positive with Ketones’ The lab technician came to see the child as he could not believe the age of the child, and he thought it was 3 years.

While all this was happening the child’s condition was fast deteriorating. I asked the nurse to bring an I.V. but the veins had disappeared, and the child was in shock. Again I pleaded, “Baba please put the I.V in and administer the fluids, and hence I got the vein on the very first attempt. Then again I heard Baba say, “Now ship the child to Children’s Hospital” I had to laugh in that tense moment “Vow, Baba talks the medical jargon too”

People Management Skills For The Staff Of Shirdi Sai Baba Temple

The Sai Baba Temple @ Shirdi has a staff of 3,000 people to manage Darshan, Security, as well as the Sai Prasadalaya. Some of them have been with the Shirdi Sansthan for almost 30 years, having risen from the rank of clerk or peon, holding just a graduate's degree at best.

The mental wear and tear that results from managing one crore devotees annually has been taking a toll on this 3,000-strong staff of the Sai Baba Temple`Shirdi. Devotees too have often suggested that the Shirdi Temple staffers need to acquire People Management Skills.

The Shirdi Sai Trust itself recognizing this fact has now, for the first time ever, devised a corporate-style "Evangelization" program for senior employees to address this issue. The Trust is now determined to impart professional training & soft skills to its staff on a regular basis.

The Shirdi Shrine has 165 personnel, who function as watchmen and have never acquired job skills. So, within the next few weeks, a special batch of 45 Security-men of the Sai Baba Temple will get their first training lesson at the Police Training Academy in Nashik`Maharashtra.

Also, recently, Human Resource professionals from top-notch corporate companies like Coke, Raymonds, Taj Group & Aditya Birla Financial Services conducted a day-long workshop for 250 Sai Temple employees in the Temple's dining hall itself. This was the first time that the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple employees ever had corporate professionals addressing them.

The Organizers 'Universal Management Forum' likened the Temple to a Mall that must provide "Customer delight, not merely Satisfaction". It was said that the "Temple was a Firm whose product was Sai Baba", and that the devotees were actually customers, with one important difference and that was that they came in times of distress & need.

While speaking on Team engagement & value systems, it was said that the Shirdi Sansthan was unique in that, it was not a hospitality chain but yet welcomed lakhs of guests with their USP - a Saint whose ideology touches millions of devotees. The Sai Temple Management was advised to blend corporate practices in its day-to-day operations and to cultivate a people-centric approach.
