Central India’s largest circulated English daily The Hitavada has a popular children's magazine The Twinkle Star. An offshoot of this magazine is a children's club The Hitavada Twinkle Club that has the honour of being the nation’s largest children's club. It was started in 1989 the first year itself saw around 800 children enrolling themselves as members and twenty years down the lane, in the yea

r 2011-2012, 26,000 children in the age group of 5 to 15 years are members of this prestigious club. The annual membership drive takes place in the first week of July every year. Where, after paying a nominal amount as fee, the children get a membership card, a bag full of goodies as well as discounts at various outlets/entertainment venues throughout the year. The Club holds educational and entertainment programmes like mela (Fete), movies, competitions, picnic, adventure camps etc. throughout the year for its members.
