The Amazon India warehouses in Haryana management has asked to take an oath to not take any kind of break until they reach their goals.

Several employees have alleged that they have been asked to not take any kind of breaks until they have reached their targets.

The exploitation came to everyone’s attention after the workers decided to speak up against the atrocities.

The workers explained that the women employees got it the worst because they needed to unload 40-60 products per hour and the summer heat tires them quicker than the male employees. Yet none can take a minute to relax.

After this news created the buzz, an Amazon India spokesperson came out to clarify that they are investigating the claims and that they would never ask such things from their employees.

The Madras High Court fixes a minimum stipend of Rs. 20,000 for young lawyers practicing in Chennai, Madurai, and Coimbatore and a minimum stipend of Rs 15,000 for lawyers in other districts. The court added that the amounts were fixed by considering the basic cost of living and the expenditure costs prevalent in the state.

The court was hearing a plea seeking implementation and enforcement of The Advocates' Welfare Fund Act, 2001, to Puducherry Union. The court had previously suggested the bar council fix a minimum stipend for engaging a junior lawyer to protect his livelihood. It is high time that we start making the difference. Hence the minimum stipend fixed above shall be extended to all Junior Lawyers without kind of discrimination based on Gender,” the court directed

The teen had created a fake email ID to send the mail. He sent the mail from his phone, using his mother's wifi connection.

A 13-year-old boy has been detained for allegedly sending threatening mail to Delhi airport claiming that a bomb had been placed in an Air Canada flight headed to Toronto.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Usha Rangnani said, "He also told us that the next day, he saw the hoax bomb threat news at Delhi Airport in the media and felt excited. However, he did not share any information with his parents out of fear,"

The UP boy said he got the idea from recent news on television about similar threats - later found to be fake - to schools in various cities, and wanted to test if the authorities could track him down.

During the investigation, the email was traced to Meerut, after which a team of Delhi police went there and questioned the boy.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to allow higher education institutions to admit students twice a year, starting from the next academic year.

Admissions will now be open in January, February, July and August. Currently, UGC Regulations allow admissions in one academic session per year.

The biannual admission system can apply to PhD, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. In contrast, earlier regulations allowed students to be admitted only during July and August.

The UGC’s decision now leaves it to the institutions to decide if they want to offer admissions in both cycles or just one, and this will depend on their infrastructure and faculty.

A woman — mother of two children — allegedly committed su***de here on June 10 after her husband asked her not to use Instagram. The family lives in Sadarpur colony under Noida’s Sector 39 police station.

“On Monday, the woman had an argument with her husband over using Instagram. A little later after their argument, the woman committed su***de by hanging herself from a fan in a room of the house,” a police spokesperson said.

The couple had been married for nine years now with two children, according to Police.

Chandigarh boy Mayank Jain secured an all-India rank of 68 in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced, the results of which were declared on Sunday (June 9). Ved Lahoti has topped the exam by securing 355 out of 360

Mayank scored 99.98 percentile in the JEE Main results announced in April. The family stated that much before the exams began, they went to Ayodhya to pay obeisance at the Ram Temple as part of a family ritual, but the JEE topper chose to miss even that.

“He said it would take three days and he would miss catching up on the syllabus. Because after coming back from a holiday, you needed time to reorient yourself, he would say,” said Abhishek Jain (father).

Mayank completed Class 10 from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Chandigarh and Class 12 from Gurukul Global School, and will now be the first engineer from his family.

In front of Computer Science (CS), AI, robotics, and machine learning, decreasing the inclination of youth towards core engineering like civil, electrical, electronics, mechanical, and chemical engineering, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) announced a scholarship for core engineering students.

Under this scheme, this scholarship will be given annually to five thousand students. Whereas degree students will get Rs 18,000 per year for a maximum of four years, diploma students will be given Rs 12,000 per year for three years. Scholarships will be sent directly to students’ accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Saurabh Netravalkar, an Oracle engineer, defended 18 runs in a Super Over to lead the USA to a historic win over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024.

In the T20 World Cup 2024, the USA stunned Pakistan in a Group A clash on Thursday night (June 6). After 20 overs, both sides ended on 159 runs, then in the super over the American side gave the target of 18 runs, the Indian techie kept his cool and gave away just 13 runs in the super over.

Netravalkar’s journey once represented India in the Under-19 World Cup alongside stars like KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Sandeep Sharma in 2010. He was the highest wicket-taker for India in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup, claiming nine wickets in six matches.

Apart from cricket, the 32-year-old is also passionate about coding! According to reports, Tokyo will launch its dating app this summer to promote national birth rates, an official told news agency AFP on Wednesday (June 5).

Users must submit documentation proving they're legally single and sign a letter stating they want to marry. While it's common for citizens to declare their income on Japanese dating apps, Tokyo will require a tax certificate slip to prove the annual salary.

Although Japan reportedly allocated 200 million yen in its 2023 budget and 300 million yen for its 2024 fiscal budget to promote marriages via apps and other projects, the move comes after Japan's birth rates dipped for the eighth straight year to a new record low in 2023, according to government data released in February.

The number of births fell 5.1 per cent from a year earlier to 758,631, while the number of weddings dropped 5.9 per cent to 489,281 - marking the first time in 90 years the number fell below 500,000. In 2023, Japan recorded more than twice as many deaths as new babies.

A thief, who entered a house in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow to rob, fell asleep after turning on the Air Conditioner (AC) in the drawing room. According to the police, the man was heavily drunk and fell asleep inside the house upon finding an AC and turning it on.

The case of the alleged su***de of two friends in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh is in discussion. It is being told in the news that before committing su***de both the friends were listening to Osho’s sermon. He was greatly influenced by Osho’s thoughts for a long time.

According to reports, before su***de, he posted a status on WhatsApp on which it was written - ‘Death is the truth’. Police say that the friendship between the two was very deep. He has sent the bodies of the deceased for postmortem. Further investigation is underway.

Police investigation revealed that the friendship between the two was deep. Aman was married. Balendra was not married. Both of them used to sit at the medical store every day.

DD Kisan, a government TV channel dedicated to farmers, has launched two AI anchors, AI Krish, and AI Bhoomi, informed a PIB press release on the 24th of May. These non-human anchors can also communicate in fifty Indian languages and will broadcast in all the Indian states.

DD Kisan was launched on 26 May 2015, to keep farmers informed about changes in the weather, and global and local markets so that they could make appropriate plans in advance and make the right decisions on time.

A post on X (formerly Twitter) from the news channel states that the channel will be “introducing a new look and style” from May 26th, with the AI anchors being the “most exciting feature”.

Bobby Kataria was arrested by Gurugram Police for allegedly tricking people with the excuse of sending them abroad. Kataria had allegedly held over 150 Indian youths hostage, seizing their passports.

Arun Kumar from Gopalganj, Uttar Pradesh, and Manish Tomar from Dhaulapur, Hapur, filed a complaint with Gurugram Police, alleging that the Internet influencer advertised overseas job opportunities on his Instagram page.

Influenced by the advertisement, they contacted Kataria’s team and were called to his office in Sector 109, Gurugram, where they were charged a registration fee of Rs 2,000 and promised jobs in the UAE. In pursuit of their dreams, they ended up paying Rs 3.5 lakh in three instalments into Bobby’’s accounts.

The victims reported that they were sent to Vientiane (Laos) on tickets provided by Kataria. Upon arrival, they were met by an associate of Kataria who identified himself as Pakistani and took them to a hotel in Vientiane.

देर रात साकेत समेत अन्य साथी पहुंचे। दरवाजा नब खटखटाते रहे, लेकिन अंदर से कोई उत्तर नहीं मिला। की इस पर चारों दीवार फांदकर घर में घुसे। रंजीत को या जमकर पीटने के बाद खींचकर छत पर ले गए और ही नीचे फेंक दिया। इससे रंजीत घायल हो गया। इंस्पेक्टर या मदेयगंज ने बताया कि साकेत, अमित और निक्की के का खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है |

Pune Car Crash: The Kanpur teen’s detention comes over where another minor is accused of ramming his speeding Porsche into a two-wheeler and killing two people.

A 15-year-old boy, the son of a renowned doctor in Kanpur (UP), was detained by police on Wednesday (22nd May 2024) in a hit-and-run case from October last year. The police admitted there were lapses in the case as the boy was involved in a similar incident in March this year.

The 17-year-old boy involved in the fatal Pune Porsche crash reportedly spent Rs 48,000 within 90 minutes at one of the two pubs he visited hours before he rammed his luxury vehicle into a bike on Sunday (May 19th), immediately killing two people.

The teen accused visited two pubs—Cosie Restaurant and Hotel Blak Club—and was served alcohol just hours before the accident. The Maharashtra excise department sealed both restaurants, where Juveline allegedly drank.

The Pune Police has so far arrested the father of a 17-year-old boy and four restaurant executives for serving liquor to minors.

After the Juvenile Justice Board’s shocking verdict drew criticism, the youngster worked with traffic police in Yerwada for 15 days, wrote an essay on accidents, underwent treatment for his drinking habit, and took counselling sessions.

Interestingly, in 2015, India’s juvenile laws changed, which allow children over 16 to be tried as adults if they allegedly commit a “heinous” crime.

The minor is the son of a prominent real estate developer from the city whose Porsche was running without a registration number.

Starting June 1, 2024, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways will implement new regulations for obtaining a driving license in India. Individuals will now have the option to take their driving tests at private training centres instead of only at government Regional Transport Offices (RTOs).

Although these private centres will be certified to conduct tests and issue the necessary certificates, any driving school cannot issue the certificate.

The new rules also focus on reducing pollution. About 900,000 old government vehicles will be phased out, and stricter emission regulations for cars will be enforced.

The fines for speeding will remain between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000. However, if a minor is caught driving, they will face a fine of Rs. 25,000. Additionally, the registration of the vehicle involved will be cancelled, and the minor will be barred from obtaining a driving license until they turn 25.
