We all have learned to live in bare minimum in 2020. So, shouldn’t we practice minimalism when it comes to bearing unnecessary emotions as well?

I fear that I no longer fear. I am embracing rejection and betrayal and it’s blossoming into flowers. This has liberated me, more importantly it has made me less reserved. I now laugh openly and love wholly. I can feel so much compassion in me for others. I don’t hold back anymore. It doesn’t make me look like a fool in my eyes. It’s a beautiful feeling. To be able to feel so much for everybody and everything without the fear of being judged. The stigma attached to being vulnerable must have been created by some sick controlling freak who feared imbalance. But to sway in the extremities of my emotions and to feel every bit of it is a kind of a high that makes me dance. I am unafraid of being let down by others or by unreciprocated feelings. The only difference is that I don’t feel sorry for myself anymore but them. God, they don’t know what they’re missing.

We derive pleasure in our actions only when they add to the meaning of our own lives in whatever distorted sense we believe is the meaning of our life. Although the building block of meaning is so weak that one minor inconvenience, and we blame our existence and our entire life and this universe. Viktor E. Frankl, Philosopher & our friend in searching the meaning of life
said, “meaning came from purposeful work, love, and courage in the face of difficulty.”

World’s beloved poet and author, Charles Bukowski, hit another chord altogether in his fans. He was rough and always on the edge and didn’t shy away from calling out the bull***t in people and society. He loathed the trivialities of life and criticised the world in his own way which was endearing. One of his most famous lines,
Boring damned people all over the world.
Propagating more boring damned people.
What a horror show.
The earth swarmed with them.

In one of the interviews Charles Bukowski said, “I get many letters in the mail about my writing, and they say: ‘Bukowski, you are so fu**ed up and you still survive. I decided not to kill myself.’ . . . So in a way I save people. . . . Not that I want to save them: I have no desire to save anybody. . . . So these are my readers, you see? They buy my books—the defeated, the demented and the damned—and I am proud of it.” Read more on his quotes and poems on Soup and Fork. Link in bio.

If you love somebody dearly, an honest scare of losing the relationship is natural. Also, romance doesn’t come with a warranty card. There’s always an absolute chance that either of the two can wake up one day only to find that the other one is not in love. Frightening, isn’t it?
So ladies, while I wish upon you the love of your SO forever but I also wish for you to have a great balanced life that if God forbid, we were to remove love from the equation, your life should still be lit AF.

A happily ever after begins with YOU being happy with your life. Love isn’t synonymous to sacrifices, as much as you’d like to be dramatic with it.

Falling in Love In Modern Times -
Imagine if Romeo had said ‘ehh it’s too much trouble falling in love with you, Juliet’! Though this gesture would have been just as inspiring to the millennials.

While we cannot deny the fact that everybody wants to fall in love, however, love these days is more calculative than instinctive. Pros and cons are constantly weighed in with so many other options just a swipe away. The youth is constantly torn between the fear of ending up alone and Fear Of Missing Out and it’s just messing with their heads and the relationships we build everyday.

Falling In Love In Modern Times.
Love means different things to different people. Some want it whole, some want it in parts, some might yearn for it, some do it only when it’s convenient. Some have suffered because of it, some have suffered in it. In the dictionary of life, love has a thousand versions.

When I first saw you,
My soul trembled
And my brain panicked.
I knew this was an emergency,
For I never felt this way.
I wanted to run right away,
But I didn’t know
That if I ran
Would I be saving myself
Or destroying myself. 📸 🖊 &

Observing the dynamics of the love we have these days, is it too wrong to ask that ‘does actual love even exist?’ The sincerity with which one is supposed to love is traded down with the need to have a convenient and comfortable life. From Fast Food to Fast Love, the consumerism of love is definitely revolutionising and we have unlearned so many things that centuries of Love had taught us.

“You did not give me a call and yet I knew you are going to go away, leaving me far behind for good.

If this is what love feels like then I swear on God, I will never love a person, not even a freaking animal in my life. I am simply shattered and broken. I want to cry my lungs out.
But I will sit here and watch you leave like a fu***ng rock. Because rocks don't feel a thing. They just lay there not moving, not experiencing anything. Yes, I will be a rock.
I am ashamed at myself, not upset at you, for needing a person in my life this crazy where I promised myself years ago that I would never let that happen to me again. And yet there are these emotions, the same feeling like somebody's bringing me down or something's going to come out of my mouth right away and till the time it's not out, I can't even walk straight, I don't feel hungry, I am just afraid and I don't know what I am afraid of. I want to run away but I don't know where to go.

But I will pick each piece and put it back perfectly, though each piece would now feel a little less, would love a little less and die a bit more inside.
This is my life and this is my journey and I have to go through what I am going through. I may not be strong ever again but I will be a rock. Now only the endless waves of the sea can wash me over and round my edges to make me small and vulnerable.
Maybe I will find my endless sea after liberating myself from your love." 📸
