"Investigating a Mystery: Why Some Users Failed to Receive the UK Emergency Alert Test Text"➡

The UK government is investigating why some people failed to receive an emergency alert test text sent on Monday.

The text, which was sent out by the government just after midday, was intended to test the emergency alert system. It read: "This is a test of the UK Emergency Alert System. No action is required."

However, some people reported not receiving the message at all, while others said they only received it late or not at all.

The government has said it is looking into why some people did not receive the message.

A spokesman for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport said: "We are aware that some people didn’t receive the emergency alert test text earlier today. We are now looking into why this happened and will provide an update in due course."

The government has previously used the emergency alert system to warn of severe weather, pandemics, terrorist threats and other major incidents.

The test message was sent using the same technology as a real emergency alert, but with a different header. The emergency alert system is used to send messages to mobile phones, radio and TV.

Celebrating St George's Day in Manchester City Centre: A Community Comes Together to Honour Their Patron Saint➡

St George’s Day in Manchester City Centre was celebrated in style this weekend, with a special parade through the city.

Hundreds of people gathered around Albert Square, the home of Manchester City Council, to watch the parade, which was organised by the Manchester-based charity St George’s Day Trust.

The parade, which began at 11am, was led by a mounted police officer, who was joined by a horse and carriage carrying a ‘St George’s Day’ banner.

The procession then moved through the city centre, past landmarks such as the Town Hall and St Ann’s Church, before culminating in a ‘Celebrate St George’s Day’ event in Exchange Square.

The parade was made up of a variety of marching bands, floats and community groups, who were all dressed up and looking their best.

The event also included performances from local choirs, and a number of stalls selling food, drinks and crafts.

The festivities were rounded off with a traditional flypast by the Red Arrows, as well as a fireworks display.

The event was a great success, with many people taking to social media to share their photos and videos of the parade

This game is likely to be a crucial one for both sides, with the winner potentially taking a huge step towards safety and the loser potentially facing a relegation battle.
