Many people dream of owning a piece of the Moon and that dream became a reality for Ajmer’s Sapna Anija when her husband Dharmendra Anija gifted her three acres of land on the celestial body on their wedding anniversary.

Dharmendra told ANI he bought the land on the moon as he wanted to do something special for his wife on their eighth wedding anniversary.

“It was our wedding anniversary on December 24. I wanted to do something special for her. Everyone gifts earthly possessions like cars and jewellery, but I wanted to do something different. Therefore, I purchased land on the moon for her,” he said.

Dharmendra bought the land through Luna Society International, a firm in New York City, USA. He said the process of purchasing it took about a year to complete.

“I’m happy. I think I’m the first man in Rajasthan to buy land on the Moon,” he added.

Dharmendra’s wife Sapna said she never expected to receive such a special “out of the world” gift from her husband.

“I’m extremely happy. I never expected he would gift me something so special. The party was organised by professional event organisers, and the setting was surreal. It felt like we are literally on the moon. There during the ceremony, he gifted me a framed certificate of the property document,” said Sapna.

A few months back, Neeraj Kumar, a resident of Bodh Gaya, also bought one-acre land on the moon on his birthday, after getting inspired by actors Shahrukh Khan and late Sushant Singh Rajput.

The first look of the mosque and hospital which will be constructed on the five-acre plot in Ayodhya, as mandated by the Supreme Court, has been revealed.

A Hindu Man From Lucknow Becomes The First to Donate Rs 21,000 For Building Of Ayodhya Mosque

The trust in charge of building the mosque, Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF), unveiled the design of the mosque and hospital in Dhannipur village of Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya on Saturday.

Ayodhya Mosque to Look Like Mecca's Kaaba: Trust

Ayodhya Mosque to be of the Same Size as Babri Masjid, Will House Hospital, Library & Museum, Says Trust Formed For Its Construction

The first phase of the project is likely to begin in the begging of next year, as the foundation stone for the mosque which will replace Babri Masjid will be laid on Republic Day.

The architectural design of the mosque complex includes a multi-speciality hospital, community kitchen, library and museum housed in a multi-storeyed vertical structure. The blueprint unveiled by IICF after the plan for the project was finalised by its architect Professor SM Akhtar.

"The mosque will have a capacity to hold 2,000 namazis at a time, and the structure will be round-shaped," the architect had said.

The mosque will be four times bigger than Babri Masjid and the 300-bed hospital will be six times the size of the mosque.

AS for the design of the mosque, it will have a 'cosmic' or futuristic type of design which will resemble the spherical earth cushioned in space. It will not have stereotypical domes, minarets or arches that are associated with Islamic architecture in India.

IICF was formed by Uttar Pradesh P Sunni Central Waqf Board after the Supreme Court's verdict in the Ayodhya land dispute case in November last year. The Supreme Court in its verdict in November last year had awarded the land to the UP Sunni Central Waqf Board.

In February this year, the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board accepted the five acres of land provided for the construction of the mosque in Ayodhya.

TORONTO -- When Carrot first wandered onto Lee-Anne Carver’s lawn as a fawn a few years ago, she knew there was something different about the deer.

It was gentle, affectionate and even endeared itself to Carver’s golden retriever.

“He didn’t hold the normal characteristics of a deer. It was something else and I can’t explain it,” said Carver, a wildlife photographer who has been close to hundreds of deer.

Last week, when Carrot came to their property in Kenora, Ont., Carver’s husband saw the bolt first and rushed inside in tears to tell his wife.

“It was disturbing. I was like ‘Carrot, who did this?’” she told CTVNews.ca over the phone on Tuesday.

Surprisingly, the deer seemed unchanged from the animal they’d come to know over the years. There was no blood and the bolt appeared to have missed any vital arteries or organs. “He’s still completely affectionate, and forgiving -- that big personality that he has that is so trusting,” said Carver.

Still, they called 911 and a representative from the Ministry of Natural Resources, and were assured the animal won’t be euthanized, since it appears to be behaving normally.

The removal of an object such as a crossbow bolt from a wild animal is a complicated process, according to wildlife biologist Nathalie Karvonen. As the Executive Director at the Toronto Wildlife Centre, her team has admitted many animals over the years with arrows through their bodies, but never a deer. The removal would be done after the animal is “chemically immobilized” with a tranquilizer and moved to a surgical space. The procedure would be done with the animal under anesthesia. In an interview with CTVNews.ca, she recalled a time when her team removed a hook from a swan that initially seemed like a straightforward procedure. Instead, blood spewed all over the operating room. “It was like a scene from Carrie,” she said.

New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Wednesday inaugurated a truck-mounted anti-smog gun to combat the worsening dust pollution in the national capital, where the air quality has been in the unhealthy category all through the winter.

The anti-smog gun is fed by a 5,000-litre water tank and can work for 3-4 hours continuously.

It is mounted on a BS-VI emission standards engine truck which causes lesser vehicular pollution, said a government statement.

Under the Delhi government's 'Yuddh, Pradushan ke Viruddh (war on the pollution)'' campaign, the Public Works Department (PWD) has installed 23 anti-smog guns at key intersections and construction sites across Delhi, it said.

The PWD has also taken the responsibility of sprinkling water on trees, roads, and construction sites to combat dust pollution.
