RETURN TO GOD
Jeremiah 8:4-6, Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 48:22,
2Chronicles 7:14, Isaiah 31:6-8

Dictionary defines Return as to come back. It can also be said to mean to turn back, or retreat. Put it in another way, if a person is going somewhere and he suddenly discovered that he has embarked on a fruitless, dangerous journey or that he has followed wrong path, would he not turn back? This is exactly what the lord is asking us in the scripture Jeremiah 8:4-6. We need to stop and think. We need to retreat and return to God. Ask yourself, that road you are following where does it lead to life or perdition? The type of life you are living, is it the type of life you really want to live or are you making a mistake? That road you are following where does it lead to, to the Lord or Devil? The scripture says Isaiah 57:21 that there is no safety for sinners, while in Psalm 119:165 it says that those who live your law have perfect security and there is nothing that can make them fall.
In Joshua 24:14-15, while Joshua was addressing the people of Israel, he asked them to choose that day the God they will serve, but as for him and his family, that they have chosen to serve the lord. Zionites, come back to God. Vacate, extricate and eschew yourselves from everything evil. Return to God. Seek the face of God. This is because the scripture says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. This time of the year is a time or period of resolutions. Resolve today to serve the living God. As you are beginning this year with Him through this program, the lord shall visit you. Your problems sgall be over. You shall sing the song of victory in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS
1. Oh lord my God, by your mercy, forgive my sins and grant me by your grace a new heart that will enable me to love and seve you better.
2. Oh lord, by your power remove anything in me that does not give you glory.
3. Lord, by your mercy, forgive the sins of my ancestors and cancel the consequences of their sins following me, in the name of Jesus.
