I have had a diverse professional life and that makes me unique!
I am a teacher turned social media manager + coach
When I am not convincing my clients about talking more about themselves, I am found either reading, writing fiction or cooking. I am a staunch feminist, food lover, saree enthusiast and a decent cook.

I can’t learn handling social media at the age of 40!
My student texted me frustrated with the fast paced technology. She was afraid of all the new features that kept on getting added. It made her feel she was falling behind.
She kept doubting her abilities and felt miserable about herself.
I just sat her down the next day and asked her, “Did you know how to drive a car, the first time you sat behind that steering wheel?”
She nodded her head in no. Did you know how you would bring up your kids when you got pregnant?
She again nodded a no.
That is when I told her that it is okay to not know something and learn it overtime.
Social media is nothing to be afraid of. The big words like algorithm, KPIs, Marketing is not going to eat you up. You have to learn them one step at a time and help is always at hand.
We all have learnt something or the other from scratch that made us sweaty at first.
You can be afraid and still try. Once you try you progress.
Take pride in your work!
After we made a mistake with client’s work, our mentor reminded us to pause and revise.
She gently told us to look at what we are delivering and sent across the work we can be proud of.
Such an important lesson, isn’t it?
This lesson has come in front of me time and again in different forms.
In childhood, my aunt told me to score marks you are never ashamed of telling.
I started to wonder about this and it made me reflect on my work more precisely.
Recently when I started with my group minimind, I changed a piece of content entirely after designing it. I didn’t feel satisfied with the content piece so just before posting it, I changed it.
This reminded me of the power of my mentor’s statement and I am going to keep it as my KPI.
"Can we start posting twice a day?" 💥
My client dropped this bomb in the inbox. 💣
I told her “We surely can, but why do you want to post twice a day?”
My client went blank and couldn’t come up with any relevant reason. 😶
I just told her to get inspired instead of following blindly.
No two businesses are the same. What makes it different are the strategies, marketing and sales objectives behind them.
Your competitor’s goal could be gaining followers and your goal could be gaining quality leads.
To gain quality leads you would have to put quality content out there. So your social media strategy would be made keeping that in mind.
It is okay to check out your competition’s actions, but to do what they are doing will create a brand like theirs and NOT your *unique brand*.
Trust yourself and your decisions while building your brands. Create a strategy on the basis of your marketing goals and desired results.

When you have a yearly goal you break it down to quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily and if required hourly. ⏳
Your life becomes 5X easier when you list down your goals clearly and then act on them. 😎

I manifested the dream life. ✨
After learning Digital marketing in 2020, I niched down to Social Media Strategy and management. I kept on switching jobs one after the other and even had a few jobless months in between. 😟
In February 2022 I made a switch to my 3rd job thinking it would be my last one. 1 month into the job and I faced misogyny, micromanagement and stagnant boss. 🫠
All I wanted was work life balance and zero corporate politics. After two months I was accused for something that wasn’t my fault at all. That was the last nail on the coffin. 🔨
I didn’t have any safety net and still resigned because my integrity was in question. 🤌
Just like a miracle, a job description landed my whatsapp with a quirky description. 🪩
I was already rejected in 3️⃣ interviews till then and without any hopes I just applied for it.
My colleague literally hyped me in front the founders of the agency as we were internet acquaintances and voila, I had a job even before my notice period ended! 🤩
May 2022 I got into a job where I was respected and I achieved my core value of work-life balance. ⚖️
Got a raise in another 3 months and also did a company paid Goa trip with the entire team. 🏖️
Here is how I manifested my dream job!
- I believed in myself, my skills and abilities. I thought to myself “I deserve better”
- I believed that Work Life Balance is achievable even at the starting stage of your career
- I took the leap of faith, stood for myself and didn’t settle for less because I had no job in hand
Why am I telling you this?
Because, I want you all to know that sometimes we start to believe what people say which doesn’t match our thought process or inner values.
Our thoughts are based on our believes and insecurities. If anyone ever opposes your thought process it is because they are lead by their insecurities.
Don’t let anyone else’s insecurities make you change your inner values and thought process.
Just wanted you to know - your dream life doesn't have to be based on anybody else’s parameter.💝
Starting an entrepreneurial journey can be overwhelming for a lot of us, so was it for me.
Am I not overwhelmed any more?

I now understand the process and I know I have to work one task at a time. ⌚📝🗒️
