Do you know about this offbeat village?
Welcome to Raung Kong Village it's an offbeat village which is located in Pithoragarh District of Uttrakhand. This village is in the route of Adi Kailash, it's an hindu pilgrimage site where all hindu devoties comes to worship Lord Shiv.
If you want to visit this village you need to trek from Nabi village which is the base of Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra. All the Pilgrims and the travelers stay in Nabi and Gunji Village. The trek is around 2-3 kms from nabi village. Raung Kong village is very rich in culture and there is an old house which is more than 250 Years old.
The people of this village are called Raungli and they belong from bhotiya community. This village is situated in Vyas valley, People of Raung Kong village and all the Neighbor villages usually Migrates from here to Lower areas like Dharchula, Pithoragarh ,Haldwani and other nearby areas.

I took this picture during our Adi Kailash Yatra last year. This picture shot from Kuti village which is India's Last village. This village is located at the height of 3,700m (12, 300) from sea level. People of this land migrate from there places to the lower areas of the region like Dharchula, Pithoragarh, jauljibi etc.
But if we talk about the land of shiva this place is heaven on earth. Every single colour ever single was made so perfectly by the mother nature. I was so blessed to visit this place 🙏😇
