*Budgam Police cracks theft case; 04 accused arrested*
_Stolen property worth lacs recovered_

*Budgam, 28th March 2023:* Budgam Police have cracked a theft case by arresting 04 accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.

On 01-02-2023, Police Station Magam received a written complaint from one Jameel Jamsheed Magray son of Abdul Ahad Magray resident of Batpora Kanihama stating therein that during the intervening night of 31-01-23 & 01-02-2023 some unknown thieves have stolen iron rods weighing about 93 Quintals lying outside his (Iron and Cement store) Titled MS Magray Cement Store at Batpora Kanihama.

Upon this information, a case FIR number *13/2023* under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Magam and investigation into the matter was initiated.

During the course of investigation of case, with the help of technical evidence, names of some suspects came to surface one among them identified as *Muzzaffar Ahmad Khatana son of Mohammad Rafiq Khatana* resident of Peerah Ramban was questioned, after sustained questioning he disclosed that he along with other 11 accomplices are involved and have stolen Iron bars weighing around 93 Quintals from Batpora Crossing and have used five vehicles including 04 trucks and a Santro car in the commission of crime and have sold the stolen property to a scrap dealer at Batote Ramban.

Upon this disclosure, the scrap dealer was also arrested in the instant case and the stolen property (93 quintals of iron bars) were recovered and four accused persons have been arrested in the instant case and a truck bearing registration No.*JK14B-1095* has been seized.The arrested persons have been identified as: *Sadiq Hussain son of Azeem Bakarwal*, *Mohammad Irfan Bokra son of Abdul Aziz Bokra* both residents of Peerah Ramban,*Mohammad Mughal Bokra son of Abdul Rasheed Bokra* resident of Samba Jammu. While other accused along with other vehicles used in the commission of crime are still at large. Investigation into the case is going on, absconding persons who are evading their arrest shall be arrested soon.

Blast : First blast happened last night around 10.30 pm in a bus that was parked near a petrol pump. Similarly, another blast happened on a bus at Udhampur bus stand. No injury in 2nd blast. Two got injured in the 1st blast & are out of danger. Probe on: DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range
