Psoriasis is a skin condition that doesn’t just change one’s appearance, but changes their mindset too. Often the mental health aspect of psoriasis is overlooked, so Skye, a writer at Alfaaz, interviewed their mother to share an example of the impact this condition can have on a person’s mental health with our readers.

Here’s a crash course on genderfluidity, from a genderfluid person that’s still in the very confusing, very lengthy process of figuring out their identity. This is for the people willing to learn, and for my fellow q***r friends who are also trying to figure themselves out. Swipe to read more!

Aesthetics- any teenager knows what they are- whether it’s indie, grunge, or even basic, most people have (or want) an aesthetic. From just visual, appearance-based ideals, they’re now personality traits as well. They can be defining, restricting, and freeing all at once- a toxic escape. We conducted a survey regarding the attachment of labels to one’s sexuality and gender identity. 65 people overall filled the survey. And while we received a lot of positive feedback, some statistics revealed some harsh truths that all of us face. You will always find people who don’t accept you, but there will eventually be more who do. In the end, what matters is that you accept yourself and remember that regardless of whether or not you label yourself, or how you label yourself, your identity is valid.
