Today on 7th October 2022 four persons were attacked by a bear in village Chela of Tehsil Mandi. As per the sources four persons namely Shaheen Akhter W/O Mukhtar Hussain 40 Years, Anjum Bashir S/O Bashir Hussain age 19 years, Saira Kouser D/o Mukhtar Hussain age 10 years and Abdul Majid S/o Manir Mohd age 60 years were going to their grass field carrying eatables for the labourers. At about 1pm they were brutally injured by the bear. With the help of the locals all of them were shifted to Sub District Hospital Mandi for treatment. It has become very common that bear is attacking the general public in residential area. It was strange to see that no wild life employee was seen there. After every incident Government assured the public to protect their lives from the wild animals but on grounds wild life Department is doing nothing in this regard. The villagers demand the strict action to be taken against the wild life Department for their negligence.
