A shocking incident unfolded at a hospital in Govandi, Mumbai, as a fake doctor was apprehended by the police for allegedly sexually molesting a female patient during her treatment. The accused, identified as Shoaib and Irfan Syed, were taken into custody on Saturday after the woman's husband discovered her in a semi-conscious state with an unidentified man touching her inappropriately.

The distressing incident occurred on June 17 when the woman and her husband visited the hospital. After being instructed to wait in a seclusion room, the woman failed to emerge for an extended period of time, prompting her concerned husband to seek answers from a doctor. To his horror, he discovered his wife in a compromising situation and immediately raised an alarm. The perpetrator attempted to flee but was restrained. It was later revealed that he posed as a doctor, but he turned out to be a hospital operator.

The victim's husband wasted no time in reporting the incident to the Shivaji Nagar police, who promptly responded by arresting the accused individuals. Mumbai Police confirmed the arrests of Shoaib and Irfan Syed, highlighting that one of them was a fraudulent doctor operating within the hospital premises.

This appalling case serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilant oversight and security measures in healthcare institutions to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.

A shocking incident has been reported from Maharashtra, where a 17-year-old boy took his own life after allegedly being scolded by his father for stealing money from home to purchase an iPhone. The incident came to light on Wednesday, according to the police.

The investigation revealed that the boy, who lived with his parents and two sisters, had recently completed his Class XII exams with a score of 48%. He had visited his uncle's house in Mira Road a week ago to explore educational opportunities in Mumbai.

Apparently, the boy's father had kept 1 lakh rupees in cash in their cupboard. Two days ago, the father discovered that the money was missing and confronted his son. The boy admitted to taking the money and using it to buy an iPhone.

Following the confrontation, the father scolded his son and asked him to return home. Initially, the boy agreed to go back, but he later changed his mind and tragically decided to take his own life.

During the investigation, the police found the boy's identity card and discovered two mobile phones in his possession, including an iPhone 14. The Mahatma Phule police have filed an accidental death report, and the body has been handed over to the family for the final rites.

This incident highlights the emotional distress and extreme measures some young individuals may resort to when faced with parental reprimand.

In response to the escalating violence in Manipur, Bubhagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma has offered to help any students from Tripura who want to return due to the unrest. In a statement, he said that he stands with the boys and girls of Tripura and is willing to assist them in these difficult times. He also appealed for peace in Manipur, stating that violence amongst our own brothers and sisters will get us nowhere. He urged for all matters to be resolved through dialogue and discussion.

The clashes broke out after the All Tribal Student Union Manipur (ATSUM) organized a solidarity march in protest of the Manipur High Court's decision to consider the Meiteis’ longstanding demand to be included in the list of Scheduled Tribes, which is opposed by other tribals. The violence resulted in widespread rioting across Manipur, with over 9,000 people being displaced.

To contain the situation, the Manipur government has issued a 'shoot at sight' order in extreme cases. 55 columns of the Army and Assam Rifles have also been deployed in the affected areas. Tripura has a long association with Manipur, and the violence there deeply pains the Chief. He has called for all parties to come to the table and find a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

The convenor of INTACH Tripura, M K Pragya Deb Burman, has condemned the use of the Durbar Hall at Ujjayanta Palace State Museum for the recent G20 Summit Dinner held on April 3, 2023.

The Durbar Hall is a historical and sacred place that has been respected for over 122 years for official and religious purposes, and not for entertainment or dining. The identity of the Durbar Hall is being tarnished by the State Government, which has shocked the people of Tripura.

The Hall should not be converted into a party or dining room and should be preserved and respected as it used to be. The government should respect the sentiments of the various communities and religious customs of the people of Tripura.

In an unusual move, the Assam government has tried to conceal the Bharalu river in Guwahati from the view of visiting teams participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). The river, which has been described as 'dirty', has been covered with tarpaulin in an attempt to prevent the teams from seeing the polluted water.

Pictures of the covered Bharalu river have been circulating on social media, sparking a debate about the effectiveness of the government's actions. While some have applauded the decision to hide the unsightly river, others have criticized it as a mere cosmetic fix that does nothing to address the underlying pollution problem.

The IPL match between RR and PBKS is set to take place in Guwahati, Assam, and the teams are expected to arrive in the city soon. The decision to cover the Bharalu river has caused controversy, with many questioning whether the government's efforts to hide the pollution are a temporary solution that ultimately fails to address the larger problem of environmental degradation.

As the images of the covered Bharalu river continue to go viral on social media, it remains to be seen whether the Assam government's decision will have any impact on the visiting teams' perception of the city or the overall success of the IPL match.

02/04/2023

Paul Dangshu, the MLA from the Karamchara constituency, visited two villages named Koiram Para and Ratha Kumar Para today. These two villages come under the 'Model Village Scheme' initiated by the government, where more than 100 families are residing without access to basic facilities like electricity and drinking water. The villages do have schools and ICDS centers, but the lack of electricity and drinking water is a major concern for the inhabitants.

During his visit,Mr. Paul Dangshu also discovered that the villages have a worshiping place called 'Hapong Raja,' where thousands of worshippers gather every year for decades. Despite the importance of the place, the lack of basic facilities poses a significant challenge to the worshippers.

Upon seeing the pictures of the villages and their condition, Mr. Dangshu has decided to push the limit for the rights of the villagers and do the needful from his capacity. He has expressed his desire to demand the necessary facilities instead of begging for them.

The pictures of the villages clearly depict the plight of the inhabitants, and it is high time that authorities take note of the situation and take necessary action to improve the living conditions of the villagers. It is the responsibility of the government to provide basic facilities to all citizens, and the lack of electricity and drinking water in these villages is a clear violation of this right. It is commendable that Mr. Dangshu has taken note of the situation and is willing to fight for the rights of the villagers.
