The political equations of the state frequently see several permutations and combinations as election days draw closer. The Nagaland Congress seeks to establish an alliance with other like-minded parties to run in the upcoming elections in an effort to unseat the UDA alliance, which is currently in power. On December 19, the NPCC announced at a press conference in Dimapur that it has presented an offer to the Naga Peoples Front and Janata Dal United. Additionally, K Therie, president of the NPCC, stated that his party is in contact with both parties and is awaiting a favourable reaction. Therie further stated that the NPCC is attempting to establish a secular administration in a Christian state like Nagaland by creating a secular front that will depose the BJP.

MON Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 7 SECTOR ASSAM RIFLES / HQ IGAR (North) distributed Nutritious Food Items to 40 Tuberculosis patients at District Hospital, Mon.
Mon Battalion today conducted an ration distribution camp under the aegis of HQ 7 Sector ASSAM RIFLES to provide aid under #PradhanMantriTBMuktBharatAbyan to distribute Nutritious items to 40 Tuberculosis patients along with Red Cross and in coordination with Dr Tinenlo James, Head of Tuberculosis Office, District Hospital, Mon. Commandant, Mon Battalion provided nutritional support to under treatment patients in which 1Kg/ltr each of black grams, pulses , soyabeans and vegetable oil were provided to each TB patient to support their nutritional requirement.
Col Santosh Rawat, SM, Commandant Mon Battalion also promised to the patients his full support in the fight against Tuberculosis.
Mr. Nyamto Wangsha Konyak ,Head of Red Cross society, addressed the patients and guided them to follow a healthy lifestyle.
The Patients expressed their gratitude towards ASSAM RIFLES for their act.
The event was highly appreciated by Red cross Society and Department of Tuberculosis, District ,Mon.

Students with uniforms are mostly caught bunking their school/college to participate in this habits.

Dimapur witnessed a flood situation
On 13th September after being informed about a flood like situation in SM colony and Vilhume colony which is located near civil hospital dimapur, immediate flood relief was launched by coln of 43 Assam rifles to loc. On reaching the location it was observed that few indl were stuck inside.
Total 8 person were rescued and evacuated. Later on the cooked meal was also distributed to the flood affected individuals and families, approximately 120 persons.

Naga Regiment at Zapad 2021. Special Heli Borne Ops (SHBO) were also carried out by the Ghatak platoon of the Naga Regiment using Russian MI-17 helicopters.
The final validation exercise of Zapad 2021 was conducted at Mulino Training Ground, Russia. Indian Army contingent participated in the final exercise and undertook Combat Free Fall, Special Heliborne Operation and mechanized manoeuvres.
Assam: Boat With Over 100 Passengers Sinks In Brahmaputra Off Majuli, Many Feared Dead
A passenger boat with more than a hundred passengers on board capsized in the Brahmaputra near Nimati Ghat in Assam’s Jorhat district on Wednesday, September 8. Reports say the incident happened after a collision with another passenger boat.
Eyewitnesses told local media that the boat was getting ready to depart Nimati Ghat for Majuli when it collided with a second boat heading in to dock and capsized.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Jorhat Damdodar Barman told UNI that rescue operations are on and there are no casualty figures yet.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed deep concern over the tragic incident and directed the District Administrations of Majuli and Jorhat districts to undertake rescue mission expeditiously with the help of State and National Disaster Relief Forces.
He also directed Minister Bimal Bora to immediately travel to Majuli to oversee rescue operations. The Chief Minister is scheduled to visit Majuli on Thursday to personally take stock of the situation.
