*Police taking Prompt Action In Robbery, Decoity & Extortion Cases : SSP Samba Benam Tosh*

Samba, August 13 : Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, police has solved Vijaypur robbery case, arrested two accused, recovered extorted cash, costly android mobile phone and auto.

The arrest accused have been identified as Atul Sharma s/o Romesh Lal r/o Khojipur, Bishnah district Jammu and Pankaj Sharma alias Panku s/o Tara Chand r/o Shazadpur, Ramgarh district Samba.

One Ranjit Singh s/o Rajinder Singh r/o Hiranagar, district Kathua had lodged a complaint with Police Station Vijaypur to the effect that two masked miscreants intercepted his auto near 17 Miles in Vijaypur tehsil of district Samba, wrongfully restrained him, attacked him with sharp-edged weapon and robbed him of cash, android mobile phone and auto. Upon this complaint police had registered a case at Police Station Vijaypur and started investigation. Police conducted raids in Ramgarh, arrested the duo and recovered weapon of offence, cash, costly android mobile phone and auto.

The robbery case was solved by SHO Police Station Vijaypur Tribhawan Khajuria, PSI Aabid Abrar under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that police is taking prompt action in robbery, decoity & extortion cases in samba district and leaving no stone unturned to work out cases in time bound manner without inordinate delay.

UPSC & Civil Services Sikh Qualifier Facilitated by ISC & NGO SUPPORT
Today on 25th of June, NGO SUPPORT incolaboration with International Sikh Confederation (ISC) Chandigarh organized a facilitation Program in Jammu to recognize and honour the young qualifiers from UPSC and State civil services examination 2022 from Sikh community.
The function was graced by Retired Capt. Bana Singh (PVSM awardee) as Chief Guest and Dr. Anil K Padha Social reformist and former Sectary Red Cross Society Jammu as guest of honour.
Shri Bana Singh in his address congratulated all the aspirants who qualified UPSC and State Civil Exams 2022 and extended good wishes for their career ahead. Shri Anil K Padha while addressing the gathering appreciated the hard work of the young aspirants and advised them to perform their duties to the God without fear or favor.
Dr Navneet Kaur Chairperson NGO SUPPORT in her welcome address congratulated the UPSC qualifiers for their wonderful Success and motivating and inspiring stories for the coming generations too.
Retd. Col. Jagtar singh Multani, Sectary General International Sikh confederation also spoke and accorded warm welcome to the achievers. He also gave a brief report on the working of ISC and assured all support to the upcoming aspirants even from the remotest corners of J&K and Punjab to enable them to fulfill their Dreams.
The achievers who were honourd on the occasion included, Ms Gurvinder Kaur, Mr. Harjot Singh, Mr. Manjyot Singh, Mr. Havir Singh, Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Ms. Parsanjeet Kaur, Mr. Hirdeyjeet Singh, Mr. Pardeep Singh Sudan, Mr. Prabjot Singh, Ms. Barleen Kaur, Mr. Namneet Singh, Mr. Jagteshwar Singh, Ms Dr. Irwin Kaur, Mr. Amarjeet Singh & Mr. Poonardeep Singh.
In the end, Vote of thanks was presented to the jam packed audience in hotel Anuthan by Sher Jagjit Singh, Executive Member, ISC and he also appreciated Dr Navneet Kaur, Founder and Chairperson, SUPPORT NGO for organizing such a wonderful facilitation event which encouraged the Civil Services Exam qualifiers with their remarkable success for the Sikh community of J&K and Punjab and lauded her extraordinary efforts.
Dr. Navneet Kaur in her closing address thanked all the dignitaries and qualifiers. She appealed to qualifying officer to set an example in the field of public administration by delivering ethical and time bound services to the underserved and underprivileged section of society by delivering GOI Schemes and Services meant for society especially the marginalized and weaker section of society. She also took pledge from qualifying officers to Support at least one deserving person for their studies and Competitive examinations preparations. The proceedings of the program were very well conducted by Mrs.Manmeet Bali with her great expertise and experience.
